Hey everyone. Hope you're well!

New to the forum and excited to glean as much knowledge from you fine folks as humanly possible!

A little background - I'm a 36 year old man in the Midwest USA. I have used some GLP1s in the past, most recently having lost about 40lbs using Tirz. While it was working, it was great. I had some unusual side effects sprout up toward the end of my 6 months on tirz that forced me to stop use. I've since taken interest in other peptide options, so I'm here to explore and learn more about them. I'm about 40lbs from my goal weight.

I stick to a strict diet, and eat basically the same things every day. It works well for me. I do heavy resistance training 4x a week and 1hr cardio sessions 3x a week. I use testosterone at therapeutic dosages, as well.

Not sure how much info I should dump here, so I'll stop now and add more in comments if needed.

Thanks for welcoming! Looking forward to browsing.

Welcome! What side effects were getting in the way with tirz. I see a lot of people recommending it because of supposedly fewer side effects than reta. I have been on reta 6 weeks with no side effects.

40lbs is a major accomplishment, congrats!

Eating the same thing everyday takes such discipline….meal prep, not shopping hungry, not having anything in the house that’s too tempting, getting bored eating the same meal over and over. I’ve found spices and sauces help a ton with keeping things from getting too redundant.

Heavy resistance training 4X/wk and 3hrs of cardio is great. Clearly you’re determined to live a healthy lifestyle. Much respect.

Any interval work or just steady state? Both are valuable!

Happy to have you here.

I don't think my situation was common and wouldn't steer anyone away from tirz because of my experience. It might have just been the perfect storm. I work in a highly regulated, compliance heavy industry and between the tirz (I was titrated up to around 12mg at the time, I think), and a very stressful couple of months at work, I developed what I can only describe as acute anxiety attacks? This is highly unusual for me, something I had never experienced before. I struggled to sleep, racing thoughts, etc. It was awful. About the same time I lowered myself off the tirz, work slowed down some, so I do wonder which was causing the issues for me.

Thank you! It's been a great experience, something I've needed to do for a long time.

I honestly find it so much easier to eat the same things daily. Batch cooking on Sunday and building 14 meals that I can grab quickly takes all the decision making out of equation for me. I do change spices week to week and also have a lot different no cal sauces for dipping. My current obsession is 50/50 mix of Sriracha and Dijon Mustard. Not 0 cal, but it is so tasty.

Training has gone from a bit of an annoyance to the thing I look forward to each day. I have grown to love it! As of now, my cardio is steady state with a goal of maintaining 125-135bpm for the hour. I will definitely look into adding some internal work next! Thanks for the tip!

Dijon and sriracha, you say? Going to give that a shot, thanks!

Thanks for sharing!

Work related anxiety is common and its not easy to separate what causes what when many things are happening at once. I got a bad cold the week i started reta, while my family had the same cold the week before, its not clear if the first week on reta had some effect. My health has been much better overall, so i am no longer thinking about the possible correlation.

Yeah, of course! Again, I don't have a poor opinion of tirz, and plan to use it again in the future. However, now considering making the move to Reta, as I've seen some pretty amazing results here and elsewhere online.

Hi I’m from England. I’m the same in the way I eat the same 4 meals every day

Over night oats and blueberries with protein powder in

Eggs and bagels

Chicken rice and broccoli

And a mince meal(homemade burger ) or chilli etc. but I’ve been on Reta, ss31 mots c and now trying a full cycle of tesamorline

There was nothing reported in the clinical trials... Now that does not mean it can not happen, but it would be extremely rare.

In major pivotal trials like the SURMOUNT series, anxiety and depression were reported infrequently, typically affecting fewer than 2% to 5% of participants—rates closely tracking or only slightly exceeding the placebo groups.

Real-world observational data suggest that tirzepatide and similar medications are actually associated with lower hazards of recording new diagnoses for anxiety disorders, depression, and cognitive deficits compared to other weight management controls.

It's such an easier approach! I also eat the same 5 meals throughout the day, with only one meal per week where I'll eat outside of plan as a treat. Still do my best to stay in my target calorie range though.

This is interesting! Thank you so much for sharing. Like I said above, I'm not sure if the tirz had anything to do with it, but I did end up titrating down and stopping around the time my headspace cleared up. Could be a coincidence. It was awful, either way!
