Hey everyone. I'm an R.N. working in healthcare, but when it comes to GLP peptides I'm still quite new. My daughter, who is 20yo, has been having a hard time with her weight, and at this point it's affecting her HGBA1C along with her triglycerides. I've put in a good amount of time exploring what's out there, which naturally brought me to conversations about GLP medication. What I want to gain is knowledge about the "Do's and don'ts" with these meds, so that I can hopefully support her in reaching a healthier place. Thanks!

Hey! Just so you know, I'm not a physician and I can't advise you on what to do. That said, my cousin had a comparable diagnosis. After looking into a ton of research, we came across Tirzepatide, Semaglutide. Those 2 were the ones that came up most. We looked into both, made a pros and cons list for each. Ended up choosing Triz, and honestly it made a big difference for him, his weight went down, he became more active and started focusing on his diet.

Whatever you two decide on, I hope it helps and brings her happiness. Good Luck Amigo!

Greetings from one Canadian to another!

My daughter also deals with weight issues. Her physician has mentioned GLP’s, but since she’s still young, I haven’t felt ready to go that route for her. It’s a hard situation.

As for me, I gave Sema a try and it didn’t work. I began Tirz just last week. Still, it’s worth keeping in mind that everyone’s body responds differently — I actually know people who did really well on Sema.

I’m also new to this space, and there is A LOT of material shared here. The search button has helped me a great deal.

Glad to spot a few other Canadians here ☺️
