Hello All,

GLP-1s are nothing new for me, though this particular space certainly is. Reading through the forums and picking up more about how we're all working toward a stronger, healthier way of living with the help of supplemental peptides — that's something I'm eager to do.

My mind often drifts to how people lived before technology advanced so far. Looking at society here in the U.S.A., the distance between eating paleo by fire light and how we eat now is enormous, and just as enormous is the distance from consuming what our bodies need at the most basic level.

I'm Potawatomi, from the Great Lakes area, and eating together in ceremony is still part of our lives — traditional dishes like wild rice, game meat, fish, veggies and berries are still shared. Yet for many generations, our families had only limited choices when it came to feeding themselves, and frequently depended on government food rations known as “commodities”. Relative to what our DNA needed for our bodies to run efficiently, those foods were a 180 — gluten, sugar, diary. The result has been a great deal of disease: diabetes, heart disease, and obesity.

What I'm getting at is this: GLP-1s have given me a handle on my food noise and helped me make more mindful choices about what I use to fuel my body.

I'm looking forward to learning about other peptides to further improve other aspects of my health.

Blessing to us all in our endeavor to meet this life with the strongest mind, body and spirit possible.

Warm regards,

Welcome Opexqzme!

It makes me happy to know that you continue to gather for ceremonial meals and pass around traditional foods like wild rice, game meat, fish, veggies and berries -- actual nourishment! That is exactly what our bodies require. GLP-1 has also guided me back toward real food.
