Hey everyone!

So glad to have made it! FINALLY...

A bit of background on my journey:

Diagnoses-

  • Lupus
  • EOE
  • Hypothyroidism
  • Lipedema
  • PreCancer of the stomach
  • Other autoimmune issues.... but NOT diabetic somehow...??
Backstory-

I came up in the Midwest (USA), where pastimes run to drinking and eating. Autoimmune conditions are everywhere and nobody asks questions. Well, I left there the moment I graduated high school, but the medical mystery tour, starring me, kept right on rolling. Not only did I inherit genes of disappointment, I also picked up an environmental disease attachment (I coined that one). It took moving to Texas before a doctor finally said — YOU ARE NOT OKAY. That's where the real diagnosing began, in my 40s, barely functioning! Pills that only hold me steady don't go down well with me. Three years ago I began to survive my own body, one oops at a time.

6 years back I shed 125 pounds on the Keto diet and taught myself nutrition, yet I stayed in limbo with every disease listed above. Nothing in my bloodwork improved at all. That had me wanting to punch a wall! Seriously. Then in 2023 a local medspa ad for GLP-1s caught my eye. I figured why not and hopped on board. Since then the total lost is 50 pounds. Semi gave way to Tirz, then Reta. Beside everyone else the scale barely budged across three years, but my inflammation markers fell a LONG way. Down by HALF! I'll happily take a win where I can. There's still far more to shed — another 100 pounds, and no I'm not exaggerating, I am large, okay! These underlying issues are what I want to fix, not just the weight.

Peptide experience-

If you've read this far, I'm impressed. Congrats!

So I began reading up on a few other peptides that could address my long list of diagnoses. Then one hot winter day, mid-scroll through an endless pile of peptide sites, a guy cutting my hair offered to sell me my very first off market peptide. Buying from him has worked out fine so far, but sourcing it directly would cost less. That's the reason I'm here. I'd rather avoid scams and the endless guessing game about what's actually legit. Reddit taught me plenty about using peptides, but there's still more I want to learn before I can finally start healing!

Advice wanted-

Any guidance from this lovely crowd would be hugely appreciated. Do any of you deal with matching health problems? Which peptide has helped you most?

Thanks to anyone who actually made it through my giant wall of text. 🙂

Hashimoto's is something I deal with too, and Tirz has done wonders for bringing my inflammation down. Reta is another one I've given a shot, and I may switch back to it eventually, though word on the street is that Tirz is more powerful against inflammation. That's purely anecdotal. Peptide stacks like KLOW are also said to be excellent for inflammation, but after GLOW gave me welts at the injection site for 2 weeks in a row, I got too spooked. I'll give it another go before long.

Have you removed gluten or other items from the autoimmune no-no list? I don't go as far as the complete autoimmune protocol elimination diet, but dropping gluten and dairy (butter excluded) tends to make me feel much better.

Good Luck!

Welcome aboard! That phrase about "genes of disappointment" really does capture the autoimmune battle in a way many can relate to.

Getting those inflammation markers down by 50% is a huge achievement, no matter what the scale is doing. Happy to have you and your "certified chaos" around... it seems like you're fully prepared to steer the next part of your healing path!

Appreciate the response. 🙂

GLOW and KLOW are both still untried on my end, but they have definitely caught my interest. Trying them is something I would like to do. Those welts, though, sound terrible.

At one point I cut out dairy and gluten, yet I honestly didn't notice much of a change, or at least nothing obvious. The food allergy panel I took showed no sensitivity to dairy or gluten, but wheat did show up. Tomatoes also came back as a high sensitivity, which left me pretty bummed since I love gardening and eating my own fresh organic tomatoes. 🙁

I appreciate the warm sentiment. Right now, using whatever I've learned up to this point, I'm giving it my all to keep this train moving ahead.

If you've had Cancer before, you should think twice about Glow/Klow. What PreCancer of the stomach actually involves, I don't know. As I understand it, BP/TB may speed up the growth of cancer cells. Both of those are part of Glow & Klow. You really ought to look into this further.

That's new to me. I'll definitely check it out!
