Hey everyone,

I'm a 32yo guy living in the US, and my main goal right now is getting my body into the best shape it's ever been. My journey began with tirzepatide in September 2025, though it didn't take long for me to see that paying re-seller prices wasn't sustainable over the long haul. That realization pushed me to dig deeper and keep educating myself along the way.

October 2025 is when I made the switch to retatrutide, and the results so far have me down 40 lbs—my starting weight was 234, and I'm sitting at 194 now. The progress feels amazing, and I want to keep that momentum going.

My reasons for being here are to continue learning, fine-tune my approach, and look into other peptides that might support my goals. Can't wait to connect with all of you and hear about your own journeys.

hi!

What was the transition from tirz to reta like for you? Could you expand a little and tell us what you went through? What doses did you use for each, or are you using now? Which one gave you more side effects? Thanks!

PS. Nice work on the weight loss!

Welcome aboard, and nice work on the weight loss. I'm wondering how your body composition looks while running Reta — were you able to hold onto your muscle mass?

My own start was with Sema roughly 2 years back. That run took off 35 lbs, and about 12 lbs of it was muscle. Looking back, I wish Reta had been my first pick, but it simply wasn't available at that point.

For the past 2 months I've been using Reta, and I've layered in CJC/Ipa, Glow and MOTS-C. Tesa got a trial from me too, and I genuinely liked it, though the cost was steep until I came across Gray. Once I cycle off CJC/Ipa, my plan is to move over to that. Sleep-wise Tesa is fantastic, and I'm eager to run it for a longer stretch to find out whether it can cut visceral fat.

Hey! Thanks so much!

For me, the change was genuinely like night and day. My tirz journey began at 2.5 mg. Appetite suppression was definitely there, but the side effects hit me hard. Digestion became really sluggish, which brought a lot of discomfort, and sulfur burps were a constant issue. On top of that, roughly 24 hours after every dose, I'd feel clearly dehydrated.

Reta has been far smoother. I began at 2.5 mg, bumped up to 5 mg after roughly a month, remained at 5 mg for a couple of months, and I'm currently on 7.5 mg.

Honestly, tirz gives me stronger appetite suppression, but reta comes across as much "cleaner" overall—fewer side effects and a better daily experience. Even though hunger still shows up on reta, I fill up fast, which makes portion control simpler.

I realize responses vary from person to person, but this has been my journey so far

Thanks for that!

As time has gone on, body composition has become a bigger focus for me. I can’t give exact figures for muscle gained or lost, but I’ve kept up with lifting most days of the week, and so far I’m pleased with how much muscle I’ve held onto. I haven’t been strict about measuring it, but I’m sure the muscle loss is far lower than it would have been had I remained on tirz.

At this stage I can also plainly see progress as I train more, and that honestly makes it much simpler to stay on track and keep going.

Something I’ve picked up on with reta—because the appetite suppression is less intense (in my case, anyway)—is that hitting my protein target has been easier, which I believe has made a difference. I still feel hungry, but I get full quite fast, so the balance has worked well.

What you described with sema and muscle loss is interesting—avoiding that is exactly what I’m aiming for. Sounds like your stack is in a good place now. I’ve been researching some of those too, but I’m still in the learning stage before I add anything else.

Tesa is also something I want to try. I’ve got NAD+ and a Glow stack coming, so I’m eager to see how they feel once I work them in.

If you haven’t switched yet, I’d absolutely suggest moving from tirz to reta—based at least on how much easier it’s been in my experience.
