I'm just starting out and feeling really thrilled about it. After looking into things, I see there's no way around it — I'll need to gamble and choose a supplier I believe is trustworthy. Should anyone have tips that don't get shared often, I'd really value that. Great to meet you all, and best of luck with your own paths.

Once you get going, it's both thrilling and habit-forming. I ended up spending hours digging into things, then testing out a few options. A few suppliers have worked out well for me up to now. Whether alone or with a group, I handle my own testing. A vendor's COA is never something I trust.

This community talks about tons of suppliers in great detail.
