Rain is falling again today, so I'm spending the time digging into Reta. About 5 months on Tirz has me 35lbs lighter, though I'm looking to make the change to Reta. That's why I'm here—reading, picking things up, reading again, then reading even more. My hope is to gain more knowledge prior to placing that initial order.

Hey everyone. My journey began on tirz, and it worked well for me — I dropped roughly 50#. At this point I'm working out how to handle maintenance. When things slowed down, I brought Cagri into the mix, but I haven't tried reta at all.

In this community, and on a number of Reddit forums too, those who've either switched over or are running Tirz alongside Reta appear to do well once Tirz stops working as effectively, or when they're anxious about losing muscle along with fat. That worry is the biggest one for me too.

I have been on tirz and the weight loss has gone well, but I will be honest that I have clearly lost some muscle (the bicep/tricep area is where I notice it most). That said, I wasn't doing much lifting to preserve it, so the blame may lie more with me than with the medication.

Yeah, I do weight training (Stronglift 5x5), and when I got my 3-month Dexa Scan follow-up, it was an unpleasant surprise. It turned out that along with fat mass, I had also lost some muscle mass, despite making sure I got enough protein and kept lifting.
