I'm a 49 year old man who spent the last 10 years sitting at a desk and packing on weight. Before that I did construction for a long stretch and never had an issue, but that's where I've ended up. So I went to my doctor and asked for assistance. Zepbound was what she prescribed, and I was eager to give it a shot, at least until the insurance company got back to me. Apparently I'm not covered for this? What does it run per month? I weigh 277 pounds. There are 3 blood pressure medications that arrive from you folks each month. I've got sleep apnea and you pay for my treatment. All the warning signs are there and you still won't lift a finger to help me head it off? After 2 months of battling the insurance company, I quit.

My supervisor is older than I am, and I began to notice him getting into noticeably better shape. When I asked what he was doing, he said Tirzepatide and pulled up the site he orders from. It made me uneasy, but I was also intrigued. A couple of weeks passed before I finally used my credit card to order some single vials, which honestly made me feel safer than I probably should have, and then I got set for my first injection.

That initial time, I was shaking violently as I put the needle in. With nothing to go on except what the guys at work and folks on Reddit had told me, I somehow avoided hurting myself. The starting dose was 2.5 mg, and 2 weeks later I went up to 5 mg. Now it's been 10 weeks, and this morning the scale read 250. That's 27 pounds gone, and I already feel drastically better. My hips and knees no longer ache the way they used to. The sleep apnea has eased up. My resting heart rate is down 5 points this month. Overall, I just feel better.

The most incredible thing about this medication is that it wiped out every symptom of my Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I've dealt with that my entire life, arranging everything around being near a bathroom. Since my teenage years I was on prescription Imodium and still could never string together more than 2 days of a solid bowel movement. As of the second week, I've dropped all of those medications, because I had to figure out how to handle constipation, which is completely new territory for me. Not something I'd suggest. From that second week on, I've stayed hydrated, added fiber, quit the diarrhea meds, and begun living without worrying about an accident. It's been incredible. After dinner, my wife and I take long walks around the neighborhood! Before this medication, that was out of the question.

I've kept digging for information because I refuse to end up without this life altering medication, and I want to do this as safely as I can, so finding this forum has been a stroke of luck. I've spent the past week reading through posts and starting to pick things up. Today I chose to introduce myself and tell you the full story. I'm looking forward to staying around and contributing down the road. Thanks for having me.
