Hi everyone! 
I'm a 45-year-old guy from the NYC area and happy to be here.
I'm currently on brand-name Zepbound, which my insurance is covering (for now
). My prior authorization expires at the end of the year, so I'm starting to educate myself on all the options in case coverage disappears. Figured it's better to learn now than scramble later.
I'm 6 shots in so far. I started at 2.5 mg and just took my second 5 mg injection this weekend. The results have honestly exceeded my expectations—I'm down 18 pounds already, with about 30 more to go to reach my goal. I'm trying to do all the right things- getting steps in and strength training a few times a week. Struggling to hit my protein number when I'm just not hungry enough but overall very happy with how in control I feel with my eating lately.
Beyond the weight loss, it's been fascinating experiencing things like reduced food noise and seeing how much easier it is to make healthier choices. I'm still learning as I go, so I'm looking forward to picking up tips, hearing everyone's experiences, and hopefully being able to help others along the way too.
