Hi all, Jack here - good to meet you. A few hours of browsing around this forum later, an account now exists - it's been great to see a forum
Hello everyone, hope the weekend is treating you all well.
(The short of it: a man in his mid-thirties, just started on tirza, chasing muscle growth and keen to learn how CJC1295 might support that. Semaglutide and retratutide have both been used in the past)
The slightly longer one: Australia is where I'm from, and my mid-thirties are underway. Eating disorders have been part of my life since childhood; as a severely obese kid I began binge eating, and bulimia followed in my teens. Extensive therapy in my twenties allowed me to get some control over this. In recent years, I'd say, disordered eating troubles me far less than it once did, but the fat kid never left and still wants out.
Semaglutide came first, a few years ago; moderately overweight was my starting point, not severely. It worked quite well and took off a good amount of fat, while the side effects were quite bad (bed accidents on a few occasions, plus the worst sulfur burps). An extended vacation forced a pause of a few weeks, and continuing after that point was not what I decided.
Getting rid of my final few pounds is what made me try retratutide a year ago. Bunk was the first batch, the second one worked - and once again the peptide performed very well, while the side effects I hated. Somewhat bearable was the skin sensitivity; what really hit me were the wakeups in the middle of the night. Some nights only 3-4 hours of sleep were had. Improvement did follow, but in the end, the side effects weren't worth the results for me. More than 6 months have passed since I stopped.
Tirzepatide is the recent addition. Week 2 is where I am, no side effects so far (the starting dose was 2.5mg), so hopefully this turns out to be a better fit. Beyond that, stacking it with CJC1295 alongside ipamorelin or tesamorelin is something I'm exploring. Learning about other people's experiences is mostly why I'm here, since there's nobody in my life to talk about this with. Friends and family do exist, but in all honesty talking to my direct environment about my journey with my body and weight has been extremely difficult. Professional help has been there over the years, and 2 close friends have been told everything, but far away is where they live and this same journey isn't theirs, so other people's stories have been very helpful to read.
Anyway, that's plenty about me - browsing through a lot of threads is probably where you'll find me, sometimes asking maybe some stupid questions, but hoping to come out much more knowledgeable.
Thanks for your time, and a great weekend to you, whoever you are.
