Hello all. Overweight for my whole life, and the goals are better long term health outcomes plus maybe getting small enough that exercise stops feeling awful? A year on tirz has me 50lbs lighter (280->230); other peptides are something I'm considering moving out to, and this is where I should be to learn about that. Risk tolerance isn't my strong suit, though a bit of impatience has crept in and another 50-80 still needs to go.
Metabolism has never worked right for me. Weight has been an uphill thing since childhood, and my mother especially was the same. As a kid she was treated very badly for her size, and her whole adult life went into trying to lose weight. Thirty years ago or so she passed in mid life, and sometimes I get really really sad that the weight loss options we have now are ones she never had the chance to use.
glp1s blew my mind the first time, purely for the release from food noise that had quietly taken over my brain without me even realizing. Smaller is what I want, but even if another pound never comes off, I'm keeping this for the absence of that awful hunger and the constant gnawing.
Anyways, ret is what I may move to, but learning is still the order of the day — what potential risks there are, what the process is and etc etc. So, um, hi!
