Hey all,

I just joined, though I’ve already picked up quite a bit from browsing the discussions here. Much appreciation to all of you who take the time to post about your own journeys and tips.

Over the past 2 years I’ve cycled on and off through a number of GLP-1 meds. At first my insurance picked up the cost, but during the last 8 months they’ve turned down coverage on the grounds that I’m not diabetic. A friend was able to get me 7.5 mg tirz, and I’ve been taking that, but my weight hasn’t budged in a while.

Even so, I try not to lose sight of the bigger picture. From when I began, I’m down a bit more than 22% of my body weight, and I’ve moved out of the “obese” range into “overweight.” Now that I’m 60 years old, what I’m aiming for is a healthy weight that I can hold onto.

Lately I’ve been reading up on Retatrutide and figured it could be a way to get there. As I dug into it, I saw how much there was to take in, and that’s actually how I ended up finding this forum.

My first order has been placed and arrived, and I’m planning to take my first dose early next week. Looking forward to picking up knowledge from all of you, and I’m grateful for how much people are willing to share.

Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome and it's great that you're here—enjoy exploring the Forum !!!!

Also, check out other peptides; a few of them might help get some tread back onto life's bald tires lol.... ss-31 mots-c Epitalon etc....

Good luck

There’s a lot of overlap between us.

Over the last 2 years, I moved from obese down to overweight. The same situation happened with me: insurance paid, then it stopped paying.

So I dove into researching, then researching, and researching even more. I came across sources, I came across support groups, and I put in serious effort. I’ve dropped 55 lbs and I’m pushing toward 'Healthy'—capital "H"!

I say half-jokingly that my plan is to have a real mid-life crisis at 51, though I’m not sure. I figure it’s a reasonable goal.

Best of luck to you on your path!

Haha, same here. Let's hope we both make it!

Glad to have you here. Wishing you the very best as you continue along this path toward better health. A 22% reduction in weight is fantastic! From what I've gathered reading about so many people's journeys, it sounds highly probable that making the change to Reta will be a massive aid in getting past that plateau—Reta appears to have been incredibly useful for this exact situation. Personally, I'm still just on the most basic GLP-1 and right at the start of my own health path, but I too have gained enormous support from looking into and reading firsthand stories from other folks on glp-1 who share what they've been through. Wishing you all the best!
