Hey everyone, I'm a researcher. Nootropics have been a long-standing interest of mine, and these days peptides of every kind have caught my attention. Longevity, cognition, and recovery are the areas I care about most. Glad to be here and eager to pick up more from this group.

Compounds investigated for boosting cognition are what nootropics are. Examples include racetams, choline sources, and adaptogens. Once you begin examining substances such as Semax, Selank, and Dihexa, the intersection with peptides emerges rather quickly. A different mechanism, but the same investigative spiral.

Welcome to the deeper end.

Which nootropics are part of your routine?

Right now I'm taking nothing, which lets me see how peptides perform on their own. In the past, though, my stacks included various mushroom combos such as lion's mane, reishi, and cordyceps, along with Aniracetam, modafinil, alpha gpc, and mag threonate.

For me, citicoline felt like pure magic. Alpha gpc is something I'm also eager to test. Semax and selank remain untried, though they're the next items I plan to explore.

Right now modafinil is part of my routine, alongside several other peps, and DSIP stands out above the rest. It's a recent addition to my stack. Pairing a deep-sleep compound with a wake-promoting one has left me feeling deeply rested and genuinely alert throughout the day.

What peptides do you have in mind for cognition and recovery? Also, when you say "recovery," what do you mean exactly? Is it about bouncing back from training, or is it about restoring mental function?

Can DSIP stand alone, or does it need to be combined with other supporting compounds?

For my part, it performs great when used solo. My current routine is Semax + Modafinil in the morning, while at night I take DSIP (every other day) along with GHK Cu. As far as I can tell, the GHK Cu has no impact on my sleep whatsoever — I used to take it in the morning for a few months, and the only reason I switched it to the evening is that I like pinning at night.

After my very first DSIP dose, the effect showed up almost immediately. My sleep has kept getting much better. Last night I managed 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, something that hadn't happened in years and years, and this morning I genuinely felt rested even before taking Semax + Modafinil. It's been fantastic! My sincere hope is that it won't stop working for me.

On the cognitive side, I'm considering Semax, Selank, Dihexa, Cerebrolysin, and Epitalon for the brain. What I'm after in both cases is recovery — compounds that boost BDNF and neuroplasticity for the brain, plus other peptides aimed at workout and chronic pain recovery.

With Alpha GPC, my head got a tingling sensation, almost like little electric jolts. I’m not sure whether it was because I was on Concerta too, and back then I hadn’t really realized how strongly caffeine and Concerta reacted to my electrolytes. Did you get any effect from it? I used the pill version.

I should give Dsip another shot. I didn't really feel anything from it.

Piracetam got me through my college years. Over the past 10-15 years, though, I've barely seen it mentioned. This post has sparked my curiosity once more, hah.

Once, I received a large amount of piracetam at no cost as payment for designing a logo. Subjectively, it was tough to detect any real change, though that kind of measurement is unreliable. Modafinil, on the other hand, produced clear effects—especially during periods when I wasn't taking anything for ADHD.
