My first experience was with a compounding telehealth service, and eventually it hit me that the amount I was paying was way out of proportion to what I was receiving. (At the starting dose the cost matches 15mg, yet the actual product I get is far smaller.) I understand the reasoning behind that structure and that newcomers basically subsidize the lower prices for those on higher doses, but once the penny dropped I couldn't shake the feeling of being exploited.

Prediabetes is what brought me to Tirz (it's all over my family tree — my doctor was genuinely stunned that I was logging 15k steps daily and doing heavy lifting at a warehouse job, and after I described how prediabetes/diabetes shows up in basically everyone in my family she said [[Q1]]). Then when I learned it could help with inflammation, that sealed it for me, since I deal with other health conditions where inflammation has been a persistent issue.

It took until week 3, when I reached 3mgs, before I noticed any inflammation improvement. Roughly 24hrs later the relief hit me and it was incredible. That's when I knew I never wanted to be without Tirz going forward, but I kept coming across posts in the subreds saying people are building stockpiles because compounding pharmacies are expected to be shut down within a year or possibly sooner. Financially that's completely out of reach for me. Actually, between the inflammation-related health condition and asthma, I had to leave my warehouse job. There's just no way I could accumulate a big enough stash for myself :/

After that I came across info that Ret was delivering even better inflammation outcomes than Tirz, and that it came with weaker appetite suppression. Both points drew me in, since curbing my appetite isn't a goal I have for myself. When I browsed the Reta subred I remember thinking [[Q2]] Then it dawned on me pretty fast that this wasn't the situation at all. lmao That's what sent me tumbling down the greys rabbit hole.

I've been somewhat hyperfocused on combing through the forum — how to place an order, how to pay, how to filter, figuring out how to get my supply tested, and so on. Seeing so many people, uh... not die from ordering this way? has been genuinely reassuring. When I first caught wind of greys I was absolutely ready to throw in the towel, because the whole notion of buying mystery powders online terrified me.

I mean sure, it sounds like a [[Q3]] scenario, better to steer clear.

At this point it all just clicks. Still frightening, but it's heartening to see folks posting their positive experiences with ordering and batch testing. Thanks for everything everyone has already poured into this space. Hopefully I can some sense of my health back following the information and save way more than expected. ♥

Since I'm still figuring all of this out myself, welcome aboard. I've only been on the "official" Tirz for 1 month, and I've already ordered 2 months' worth of compounded to keep going — but the racket a certain company is raising at the FDA has me worried enough that I'm planning ahead. On top of that, I've got a LONG road ahead of me. So whenever I max out on Tirz, I'll make the switch to Ret.

"Not dying" sounds like a solid strategy. There's clearly a ton of useful info in this community. My guess is I'll have plenty of reading to do before placing my 1st order.

Hey everyone! Another newcomer checking in, soaking it all up with amazement. It feels like an entirely different universe has appeared! Right now I'm using telehealth compounded Tirz, yet I'm thinking ahead because my partner is interested in starting too. Instead of "scaredy-cat," I'll call myself "overly cautious," though you nailed the emotions perfectly. Here's to good results for both of us!

Thanks for the welcome! That anxiety is something I relate to completely. Even though I'm fully aware of the amount I dropped on compounded tirz last year, I still feel the same hesitation. To reach the point I'm aiming for, I'll have to push past both that worry and my nerves about customs.
