Hey everyone, I'm just starting out with peptides and Reta. At week 5 and 3mg, I haven't dropped any weight, but my appetite is definitely suppressed and I feel full. I'm 5'11 and 286lbs. My metabolism has adapted badly, likely from a sedentary lifestyle plus years of morbid obesity and intense dieting, fasting, and keto. For instance, I did carnivore and fasted 3 days, 2 days, and 1 day 2 times a month with zero weight loss. I'm hoping peptides and trt will let me reach the fitness goals I've wanted my whole life.

Right now I'm desperate to lose weight because I have severe metatarsalgia in both feet and a completely destroyed right meniscus. I'm not mobile and basically rely on crutches or a wheelchair to get around. I need to drop 40 lbs ASAP, no matter what. I've begun using heavy resistance bands, and thankfully I'm fairly muscular underneath the fat.

I'm on 100mg test weekly, taken as 33mg every 2 days in my leg with an insulin needle subq near the muscle. I started that about 4 weeks ago and feel good on it. It's definitely boosted my desire to work out, and I no longer need my microdose of cialis (I take 1mg and feel it), which also gives me reflux so it doesn't mix with the reta. On trt my overall mental state is happier, I dwell less on the past, and I'm more motivated. My last testosterone test was under 200.

I'm putting together another order with possible stackables for the reta, but I think motsc and tirz are probably enough, though I've looked at slu pp 332, Tesa and Ipa. My brother said to go straight to hgh, but if I do that I'd need the strictest testing and medical oversight, I think.

I plan to add tirz, and I also have bcp, motsc, ghkcu, and hgh on the way.

Welcome aboard! It's wonderful that you're here. I've picked up everything I know by going through the forum, and this community has been a fantastic spot for learning, exchanging stories, and lifting each other up. Can't wait to hear more about your path and to keep learning together with you.

The folks with expertise here can offer better advice than I can. In my own case, Tirz worked well for me instead of Reta, partly since I had to stop exercising for a while because of a problem. If it were me, I wouldn't combine all of those at once — I'd hold off and observe how Tirz affects you, giving yourself room to figure out your own reaction 🫶

Welcome — and much respect for being so open about your situation.

First, the fact that appetite suppression and fullness at week 5 on 3 mg are already showing up is a genuinely encouraging signal. Many people, particularly those with a long history of dieting or metabolic adaptation, see the scale response lag behind the appetite changes. After intake has been reduced steadily for a few weeks, fat loss typically begins to show.

There are also several factors in your favor:

  • TRT bringing your testosterone out of the <200 range
  • decent muscle base underneath
  • motivation to train even with limited mobility
Once progress starts, that mix can matter a great deal.

The foot and knee situation sounds brutal though. Honestly, in cases like that the main goal early is just reducing load on the joints while the weight comes down. Resistance bands are a great idea. If you can tolerate it, things like seated upper body work, band work, and even light floor exercises can help keep muscle while the GLP-based appetite control does the heavy lifting on fat loss.

On the peptide side, a lot of people find Reta alone is already very powerful, and sometimes adding too many things early just makes it harder to know what’s actually helping. Dialing in one compound first can make troubleshooting easier.

The TRT change you described is also very typical — better mood, motivation, and libido once levels come up from very low baseline. That alone can make adherence to training and nutrition much easier.

And don’t underestimate what 40 lbs of weight loss could do for your feet and knee. Even modest drops can significantly reduce joint load and pain.

You’re still early in the process, but it sounds like you’re taking a thoughtful approach and learning as you go. A lot of people here started from similar places and slowly built momentum.

Glad you joined — keep us posted on how things progress.

Solid guidance — my approach will be stepwise. In stage 1, my focus is squeezing as much as possible from reta, given that it may pack the biggest punch. Everything else comes after the diet or during later phases. My goal is to first get lean, then increase training and use muscle to fill in more of the loose skin. Appreciate the welcome.

You've got this! Take it slow, don't count on instant changes, stay consistent, and keep the golden triad in mind: sleep, nutrition, and exercise! At 40 years old I was pre-diabetic with terrible bloodwork, and by 55 I was in the best shape of my life — all thanks to modern medicine AND getting the foundations right. By the way, 600+ Test with Enclo/HCG, the natural way!

Everything you mentioned, I'm on board with. I'll use this thread to share how things are going. Hoping for the best.

That's awesome, I'm hoping to get to that point before long. What did your test level look like prior to starting Enclo/hcg?
