Hey everyone - I'm still pretty fresh to this whole scene. Unfortunately, I ended up with one of the batches that failed sterility testing (there's already a lengthy thread on here covering that situation). After contacting the vendor, they told me sterility isn't something they guarantee, though they did forward a few Janoshik results from that same batch indicating it had passed (I'm aware that doesn't prove the entire batch is fine). So my question is: should I just throw them out, or is running them through a filter worth attempting? Any guidance would be great. Thanks!

What exactly went wrong? A bunch of these got shared lately. Was it mold/yeast, or endotoxins? You can get PES filters in bulk from Amazon, and honestly they ought to be used with every pep no matter what. For catching bigger particles, they usually do a pretty solid job. Endotoxins, though, can't be filtered out that way, and injecting them carries a higher risk. Those I'd submit for free testing (though I think the endotoxin assay costs more)….
