Hey y’all,

I’m from Texas and have been dealing with weight issues for quite a while. Like a lot of folks, I’ve tried just about everything over the years. Some things worked for a little while, but nothing ever seemed to stick long term. I’m at the point where I want to make some lasting changes instead of chasing the next quick fix.

I’ve been reading a lot about GLP-1s and decided it was time to join a community where people share their real experiences, both the good and the bad. There’s a ton of information out there, and it’s hard to know what’s accurate, so I’m hoping to learn from people who have actually been through it.

For now I’m mostly here to read, learn, and contribute where I can. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and hopefully making some progress along the way.

My biggest issue I’ve ran into is making the first move honestly. I’ve read so much.

Walking around at 285 at 5’9” isn’t doing it anymore.

I walked up 5 flights of stairs and legit almost died it felt like.

From a combat veteran to where I am now is embarrassing

No reason to be embarrassed now. Taking the first step to making a change is definitely the biggest! Good luck on your research and your next steps!

Thank you! It’s hard not to but you’re right. I’m making steps and hopefully it’ll all work out!

The stairs was your body sending out a SOS. You are responding to the problem and working on a solution. May your rescue attempt be successful.
