INTRO: Extra Wegovy pens — should I just hold onto them, or is there something else to do?

To give some background: my wife went 7 months without using her compounded semaglutide, which had been mixed and kept in the fridge, then picked back up with those same vials. Everything still worked, and she had no problems at all.

Even so, once a peptide has been reconstituted, the usual guidance is to finish it inside 30 days. So if you're holding onto spare pens and thinking about starting again after a 3-month break, the better move is to talk it over with your doctor instead of jumping straight back to the dose you used before. With these kinds of drugs, that kind of check-in is pretty standard.
