Hi all,

Since the rules call for an introduction, here goes. GLP-1 medications are something I've been on for some time, so I've built up a fair bit of firsthand experience with them.

What brings me here is two things: picking up new insights from the rest of you, and passing along what I've learned in case it's useful.

A few areas I'd like to dig into:

  • Staying on these meds long term and how to maintain results
  • Ways to keep side effects under control
  • Creating routines that hold up after stopping the medication
  • Getting past stalls, plus the mental side of all this
I've spent time going through quite a few discussions already and found plenty of valuable material. Happy to be part of things, and I hope to both learn and add something useful.

Sharing how you've dealt with side effects would be something I'd value. I'm only just beginning Reta, and following my 3rd shot I felt hungover for roughly 3 days. My dose is .25mg, split into 2 injections per week. Someone suggested trying the arm or thigh, since those spots may produce fewer sides compared to the stomach.

Hello and welcome!

Our situations sound similar. After spending some time in this space, I've picked up quite a bit, and I fully agree that simply reading along, digging into information, and developing is valuable here. My view is that these glps assist us in forming lasting habits. They serve as the base. When those practices turn into habits, we can think about shifting once we reach our target. Along the way, we strengthen ourselves mentally by staying steady, resisting the urge to rush, and having a community like this where we can exchange thoughts.

It's good to be part of this, and I'm eager to keep learning.

Things I'm newly curious about:

KLOW

Bioregulators

Longevity Peps

Having reached 51 and now weighing under 200 lbs after being stuck at 256 for years, I look ahead with a bit of hope in my eyes.

How many MG were in your vial, and what did you use to recon it? At .5 weekly, you shouldn't get any sides.

At the moment I'm running Reta, KLOW, NAD+ and Tesa. Whether the tesa is doing anything, I can't really tell, but I'll keep going until the supply runs out. I'm checking out Mots and other interesting options to add in.

I've been on a glp1 for just 1 month, and I'm really eager to pick up more knowledge since it has made such a big difference in my life. After going through many threads on here, I'm now interested in trying GHK-CU and finding out how to obtain my tirz more affordably over the long haul.

If you're aiming for that, GHK-CU could do the job, though I'd also suggest checking out KLOW since it may offer additional advantages.

Hello — glad to have you here!

It’s clear from your intro that you’ve got real insight to offer. For anyone who has put in genuine time with GLP‑1's — the highs and lows, the unwanted effects, the changes in how you think — that kind of firsthand knowledge is a huge help to people who are only beginning or going through a tough stretch.

Keeping it going over the long haul, forming new routines, stalls, the psychological aspect — those are exactly where folks tend to need the most help, and they’re also the topics that frequently get overlooked in fast-moving online chats. You’ll be a great addition.

It seems you’ve already spent some time looking around the forum, so you’ve likely noticed how candid and considerate the discussions here can be. I believe you’ll bring a lot to that, and I hope you get just as much out of it yourself.

Happy you’re with us, and I can’t wait to see you join in the conversations.

I had been checking into that too, but because I have a uterine fibroid, BPC-157 and TB-500 make me somewhat uneasy. Among other women with fibroids, I’ve come across inconsistent outcomes, and I’d prefer to err on the side of caution until more studies exist about how they affect tumor growth. My research on it hasn’t been extensive, though my primary aim is improved skin and hair regardless, so GHK-CU will work well for me as a starting point. 🙂

We need a space where we can talk through all this information overload and actually make sense of it. I've been using reta for close to 2 months now, and I'm down 14lbs, which is great, but the side effects have been less great

Good question. I made a mistake and purchased 50mg because I believed it was 10 vials of 5mg. It ended up being 1 vial of 50mg. I mixed it with 3ml of BAC and pull 1.5units on a .50ml syringe. I was considering throwing this vial away since I just got my 10MG Vials of Reta over the weekend that I could reconstitute. Any input is welcome as I definitely experienced side effects.

GHK-CU is something I really rate. These days I inject it together with KPV and BPC-157. There's no stinging sensation and my skin looks radiant! Allergy season is here, so I'm counting on the KPV to assist with that and with inflammation!

The discussions on this forum contain tons of useful details about these, KLOW, and GLOW. The combos that lead you there!

Enjoy your injections!

That's wild and a little hilarious 😅 I've never come across a 50mg vial before, and you drew from it with a tiny .5ml syringe — still, that approach does make for more precise dosing. My main gripe with vials this big is that most carry a 10% variance, so yours might actually hold over 55mg. Another thing: Reta is generally expected to stay >90% potent for up to 4 weeks, so if your doses are extremely small, finishing the vial will take months.

I began at 1mg weekly and stayed comfortable until 2.5mg, which I reached after 5 weeks. Sleep was broken through the night, but nothing else bothered me. The moment I jumped to 3mg, everything changed. My skin became painfully sensitive — even heavy clothing rubbing against it felt awful. I had feverish symptoms (similar to the skin sensitivity) plus feeling warm and drained. Stomach issues started, with diarrhea now and then.

So I dropped back to 2.5mg, and the same symptoms persist, only milder, with no stomach trouble. Next week I'll try 2mg and hope things settle. My brother ramped up to 4mg over the same period and never got any of this.

I'd really like to hear from anyone who's dealt with these side effects and what might help. I'm already on zinc biglycenate, but it isn't easing the skin sensitivity.

I plan to throw out the 50mg and mix up a fresh 10MG vial so I can begin again. Appreciate the input. I'm eager to read those replies about your side effects and the remedies you recommend.

Skin sensitivity happens very often.. though it's most typical while you're increasing your dose. A lot of people notice it fades after 3-6 weeks staying at the same dose. Going back down should make that happen faster since the medication gradually leaves your system.
