I've spent a while reading along here. I'm 4 months into a reta clinical trial now, so it's mostly about getting ready for what comes next and looking into other peps worth knowing.

Curious? How do you feel about whichever study arm you ended up in?

Tirz has been part of my routine since December, and in May I began layering in reta. At .5, .75, 1, and 2 it was smooth sailing. This week I made the call to jump to 4, and wow, that was a terrible choice. I've felt awful and haven't been able to eat anything at all for 2 days. It's like my stomach is consuming itself. A couple hours ago I began to feel somewhat normal again, but now I've slipped back into misery.

All the same, I'd really like to hear about your trial journeys, particularly whether you ever felt your dose was escalated too quickly. Welcome!

From day 1 I got hit with every side effect on the list. I'm enrolled in Triumph-9, where the starting dose for all participants is 2mg. Fortunately, I was placed in the slow titration arm (12 weeks). Around the 10-week mark, I could finally eat solid food again, but then at week 13 my dose was bumped to 4mg…the nausea, skin sensitivity, daily reflux, fatigue, and feeling cold all returned.

I plan to see it through, though these trials show no mercy. Lilly keeps emphasizing that reta matches bariatric surgery, so they continue to push participants. By week 14, I've dropped roughly 10% of my body weight.

Hi,

When you take Tirz & Reta together, is it at the same time, or do you space them out over a few days?

Right now I'm using Tirz, and I'm also considering adding Reta at the smallest dose, 0.5mg

Could you share anything about how to space out tirz and reta dosing? I've used white-label tirz for quite some time, and for close to a year I've been stuck at a plateau (possibly trading some lbs of fat for lean mass, yet the scale won't budge at all). My plan was to take my usual Zepbound dose on Sunday, then begin a low reta dose on Thursday.
