Hey all, I've just signed up.

The big thing that brought me here is a bunch of health problems that have kept me from living normally for years, plus the chance that GLP-1s could get me functioning again.

My weight is fairly average. I sit a few Lbs past the "normal" BMI cutoff, but I've carried a decent amount of muscle from years of training back when I was healthy, so I wouldn't call myself especially overweight. Even so, dropping some fat wouldn't bother me. On top of that, my cholesterol/triglycerides are high.

BUT the biggest factor behind me exploring this is years of dealing with IHH (idiopathic intercranial hypertension) (pressure in the head), which means that on a lot of days I can hardly function, it can be debilitating and I just have to stay at home and survive the day.

Not long ago I started digging into GLP-1s and what they do for this condition, and amazingly there have been a couple of studies, all of which show reductions in head pressure and headaches in the patients. Ideally I'd like to try Tirzepitide at a microdose to see if it helps and work my way up in dosage of needed.

Glad to have found this place and it looks like everyone is here to help eachother out.

For my inflammation, Tirz has been incredible, long before any noticeable weight came off. My wish is that you experience the same benefit!

On this forum in particular, I've rarely come across anyone discussing GLP-1 use for reasons unrelated to weight. If you aren't actually seeking those outcomes, do you have any worries about how GLPs might affect your eating habits and similar areas?

At first, I figured it wouldn't matter much—dropping some pounds and getting my metabolic health in better shape would be a plus. But once I hit a certain point, I wouldn't want to keep losing weight. So my hope is that a really low dose, or a "microdose," could be sufficient to address some of these health problems without cutting my appetite down too far.

Glad to have you here! For me, peptides have been a total game-changer: my blood pressure is now in the normal range, so I’ve been able to stop taking medication, my high cholesterol has come down, fatty liver disease has been reversed, inflammation is much lower, and I finally feel like I’m truly living again. It’s the best choice I’ve ever made, and I’m confident you’ll feel the same way once you begin.

Seeing a comment like that fills me with so much hope! May I ask how much time passed before you noticed improvements in that area?

Roughly the first 7 days. This was before I'd lost any real amount of weight. At first, it never even crossed my mind that the medication was responsible — I simply figured, oh hey! A good day! Those positive effects, though, kept going without pause. For decades I'd dealt with lower back pain and stiffness that came and went (from horses), plus foot pain — both when heavy and when slim — since I cover 8-10 miles daily on most days. I'm still walking that much, only now there's no foot pain.

Wow, today is day 1 for me and I've got pains of all kinds.... Fingers crossed I end up with something like that too, I'm so eager! Appreciate the fast response 🙂

wow, this welcome message ended up making me reflect on way more than a quick hi lol.

Appreciate it! That info about Tirz was completely new to me and I hadn't come across it before. My curiosity keeps growing stronger and stronger! Wishing you get the answers you're looking for.

Hello and welcome! The motivation behind your interest in GLP-1s is genuinely compelling. I've been keeping an eye on the peptide world for some time now, and it's really intriguing to witness a growing range of firsthand accounts that go past the weight-loss angle. All the best as you move forward, and I'm eager to find out how things unfold!

Reta works well, though you need to stay careful about using large doses over an extended period, since doing so can genuinely lead to digestive problems

Learning that Tirz can be useful for IHH was news to me. That’s wonderful.

For my part, I was carrying a handful of extra pounds beyond what I consider ideal. About 2 months and a bit have passed since I began Reta, and the results have been incredible. I used to think I was roughly 10 lbs over my target, yet after seeing myself in the mirror, I’m rethinking those goals. To date, 20 lbs have come off. At 6 feet tall, I now tip the scale at around 185 lbs. Time to step up the intensity of my weight training.

Wishing you the best as you move forward!

Best of luck! Tirz seems like a solid place to begin, and it's quite budget-friendly for research purposes. Begin at a low dose and increase gradually. What's great about the pep scene is that the required supplies work across the board, so switching to a different pep down the line just means paying for that pep itself.
