A bit of a long one… but tossing it all out here to start seemed right!
A 34yo male in Colorado (USA) and 5'10" (probably closer to 5'9" due to gravity…
). Next month (May 2026) marks a full year on Reta! amazing is how the experience has been! Gym time consistently started again at around 267lbs at the beginning (Jan/Feb) of 2025.
Wrestler growing up, so gym work and hard work aren't the problem, but my weight has always been on a yo-yo string. Keto, intermittent fasting, crazy workouts, etc. all got done, but by my late 20's, those weren't cutting it and the scale and my health felt it. Reta came recommended by some friends… after plenty of “research” on Reddit and a first bit handed to me, fully on-board is where I was.
1mg every four days was the start, then 2mg every four days after approx. 1 month. Working out and TRT along with that had fat shedding and the results have been amazing. approx. 223lbs was where I plateaued (as of today's weigh-in) with the lowest showing 217lbs (HIGHSCHOOL WRESTLING WEIGHT). Things slowed around four months ago, which is when life got busy and my workouts slowed down (halted other than just being active). Sticking with it to keep my weight and cravings maintained is what I've done.
August is when I get married though and getting back after it is due! This forum got found from the Reddit (Retatrutide) users recommendations! Research is getting dug back into as the world has changed.
Getting advice and support, plus more overall knowledge of what's gone into my body and keeps going in, is what I'm here for! Hitting a healthy 210lbs by then is the hope!! Sharing my experiences and helping wherever I can is also why I'm here. No expert am I though- so here I am now!
More research, browsing topics (been non-stop for the past three hours…), and meeting/chatting with the community is what I look forward to!
