Hello, and I hope everyone is doing well. I'll just dive straight in… perimenopause is where I am right now, and I'm struggling inside a body that no longer feels like mine. Here's the strange part: one day I was fine, and the next I woke up swollen like a puffer fish — except the swelling never went away. BHRT was what I started on to bring the perimenopause under control, and a blood test flagged me as borderline diabetic, so thyroid medication followed to get my thyroid working and bring cholesterol and blood sugar down. It's working: the puffiness started to drop, I went down a cpl of sizes, and both cholesterol and blood sugar are normal now.
A cpl months ago I travelled back to my hometown for a family thing and stayed with a friend and her partner. He spent a while telling me how much weight he'd lost on retatrutide, and I figured why not give it a go, so he got me a bottle. Since then I've fallen down the rabbit hole, eyeing up other things that might help me get my old body back.
Thanks for reading, and I hope everybody has a lovely weekend.
