Hey everyone! Since Jan 29th I've been working on losing weight, and so far it's gone well — 45 lbs down thanks to tirz. What led me here is wanting to better myself. I had no idea there was a whole peptide scene beyond the ones the man has approved. Man, it took a ton of digging around on Reddit just to grasp what the heck the gray market actually is. I'd say I've been lurking for a few months, but I finally took the plunge and signed up as a member to expand what I know. Hopefully I can contribute something to this community and pick up things from others too. Truthfully, this community feels like a perfect match for me, and I'm excited to get involved. Cheers

Nice work locating this community! That's a solid first step.

After peptides entered my life, we've been up to all sorts of wild stuff. Right now I'm running TRT for my mom, who's menopausal, and I'm getting ready to begin it myself before long. Then there's the endless pile of things I've picked up (and picked up again) regarding supplements and nutrition.

Here's what I tell anyone who will listen: ease into the peptides, and keep your vitamins and minerals in the picture. A big range of vitamins and supplemets exists that can support your sleep, your metabolism, your daytime energy, your mitochondrial, and those are worth exploring well before you bring a peptide into the mix.

Peptides aren't all magic... Apart from the GLPs, Epithalon, and BPC/TB! Plus possibly a handful of others that I simply HAVE to test out 🤣

Appreciate it! At this point I'm not ready to jump straight into the deep end, honestly — I'd rather have real confidence in a peptide before I introduce it to my body. Coming up I've got a full panel blood test lined up through Quest, which feels like a solid first step to figure out which nutrients and minerals I'm actually short on. Right now BPC, TB, Mot C, Reta and semax are the ones catching my eye, though epithalon is still mostly a mystery to me — I'll look into that one. Thanks for getting back to me!

Solid picks for a first run. BPC and TB really are the super soldier serum of the peptide world. MotsC makes a fantastic preworkout, though the histamine reactions are not for me. Semax I have not touched, but the feedback is good – I would go with the NA version. And Reta needs no introduction.

On the bloodwork side, panels can certainly reveal gaps in particular areas, but dig a little and you may find that several of those markers mean nothing at all. Serum B12 and folate, or serum magnesium for example, are useless numbers and only flag the most egregious deficiencies.

If it is not coming from your diet and you are not already supplementing, the safe bet is that you sit below optimal at best and deficient at worst. And where there is an excess, that normally points to missing cofactors for metabolizing dietary sources properly.

The takeaway: take your B-complex, your trace minerals, your magnesium and your vitamin D, then build out from there.

Another person from Chicago checking in! Glad to have you!

When it comes to the items on your list, Semax is the one I'm not sure about. Since I began using it, I haven't noticed any effects. I just raised my dosage today, so I'll give it a few more days at the higher amount before deciding it's not worth it.
