Hey all,

I'm a guy who's 43, and Canada is where I live. My reason for signing up here is that I want to gain a better understanding of peptides and the role they could play in healing and recovery.

Complications from orthopedic injuries and surgeries have been part of my life for 15 years now. Three hip surgeries, a torn ACL, and a ruptured Achilles are all on my history. On top of that, some mistakes made during surgery left me with lasting tendon and mobility problems. Navigating the healthcare system and hunting for answers has been a drawn-out struggle.

Those injuries cost me the ability to remain as active as I used to be. The weight crept on over the years, and without being able to train at high intensity, shedding it has gotten tougher. These days I'm looking into things that could help with healing, recovery, and overall health.

My interest in peptides came from the many reports of people benefiting in areas like tissue repair, inflammation, and metabolic health. Learning is why I'm here, along with reading about others' experiences and finding out which routes they've gone down.

Any advice, resources, or firsthand stories anyone is kind enough to offer would mean a lot. Thanks ahead of time to whoever puts in the effort to help.

Glad to have you here! BPC 157 is the peptide that worked really well for me, and peptides can indeed assist with different types of injuries. As for losing weight, you said you weren't able to stay as active as you used to be -- being physically active matters for your health, but as the saying goes: [[Q1]]. The thread I've linked below might give you a few ideas:

I'm a bit younger than that, but the first thing that made a difference for me was getting blood work done, which led to me starting TRT. On the muscle and weight side it only did so much, but the real change was in energy and motivation, which finally got me moving on weight loss.

After that I brought in a GLP, and that got my diet in line. Then, when I was nearing my goal weight, I introduced recovery and GH peptides, and those made a big difference for healing injuries and bouncing back after training.

I recently got some BPC. I'm planning to include it with my Reta. How do you dose and schedule your BPC?

Welcome aboard. It takes grit to keep going through all of that — 3 hip operations, ACL, and Achilles problems is a heavy load for anybody. A lot of folks on here started exploring peptides for comparable reasons once standard rehab paths hit a wall.

When the topic turns to tendon, ligament, and soft tissue healing, BPC-157 and TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4) usually get mentioned. These are popular because animal research suggests they may support angiogenesis, collagen organization, and better tissue repair. People often talk about them for tendon injuries, joint problems, and recovery after surgery.

On the metabolic side / weight management, you'll likely run into plenty of threads about GLP-1 peptides such as semaglutide or tirzepatide, which may assist with appetite control and insulin sensitivity. A lot of people who can't train hard because of injuries have used those to help manage weight while concentrating on rehab.

Given your multiple orthopedic injuries, it could be worth your time to check out threads on:

• BPC-157 + TB-500 stacks for connective tissue

• GH secretagogues like CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin for recovery

• GLP-1 peptides for body composition

The key with peptides is researching thoroughly before starting — sourcing quality, dosing schedules, and keeping expectations realistic. Some folks get excellent outcomes, others see more limited ones.

There are many solid experience reports here, so be sure to read older logs and ask away. With your injury background, quite a few members have traveled a similar path.

Glad to have you here and hope you find something that helps you keep moving forward.

My total daily intake was 1mg, split into 0.5 doses taken twice daily under the tongue. This typically continued for weeks, extending as long as 2-3 months.
