Hi Everyone,
Weight has been a lifelong rollercoaster for me. I've worked with personal trainers, done intermittent fasting, and tried just about every sensible diet out there. The cabbage soup diet never happened, though I did think about giving it a go. Lol
In 2023, after a dramatic escape from a war zone, I came back to Ireland. What I found was that fat phobia and stigma cut deeper than PTSD. My weight kept climbing, my back ached constantly, and people made pointed comments. I went to my doctor hoping for a glp1. Even with a bmi of 44, because I had no cardio vascular problems, I was turned down. So I went to an online doctor, who prescribed Saxenda. I dropped 40 lbs. A doctor friend in the UK then suggested mounjaro, so I flew out to buy it. Before long, I found an online pharmacy shipping from Northern Ireland, and bobs your uncle, another 60 lbs came off. Throughout, I stuck to a high protein, high fibre, low sugar, healthy fats way of eating. I tracked everything until relatively recently.
I was on the golden dose and ordering at the three week mark, so gradually a stockpile of pens built up in my fridge. I also moved up a dose, but stretched it out over a longer stretch. All was fine until Eli Lilly raised the price last September, just to even things out with the US. My husband began mounjaro too, and the expense grew too high to justify. The breaking point came when I needed a new(ish) car, and the repayments would essentially equal my mounjaro budget.
I began looking into peptides. GHK CU, Mots C, Semax
And the enzyme Nad+
Now I need to keep going with tirz or make the change to Reta. My fridge pens are nearly gone. I've gone down from 15mg to 7.5 and will be at 5mg before I switch.
So that's me, I'm hoping for assistance with Europe centric peptides issues, Ireland specific issues especially, and also to pick the brains of the more experienced members of our Global community about the science and the latest developments.
