Hey y'all!

A 42F is what I am, and the same 110-115 lbs has been gained & lost 5x across my adult years; oral meds (phen) got a try too, though the “success” was limited (side effects, and the phen quit working altogether rather fast).

Early in 2023 a compounding pharmacy supplied sema (my insurance back then covered no GLP1’s), which produced no results and left me disappointed, so the same 15 lbs kept yo-yo-ing down and up again and again.

Then 2024 opened with a pre-diabetic diagnosis. By that point my insurance covered GLP1s, yay! Tirz was what my doc rx’d, and the results felt - for the FIRST time! - sustainable and not the struggle of a lifetime. For once, no starving myself, no 3+ hours/day in the gym, no obsessing over everything and being generally miserable. Feeling GOOD was the baseline. Less stressed, more focused, more productive — all of it showed up. Strange how those pieces fit together?!

About a year of tirz took 71 lbs off me (the increase was verrrrrrry slow), then last summer I got pregnant; playing it safe meant stopping the tirz. At 10w I miscarried — and somewhere in that pregnancy, my damn insurance had decided tirz was no longer covered, the med that had changed my life.

Those first few weeks off it, I'd held on to my better eating and exercise somewhat okay but not GREAT, and then at the very first sign that the pregnancy was in trouble, every one of my worst old habits returned: compulsive eating and emotional eating. Frickin 26 lbs has come back on and I'm kicking myself.

Anyhoo, being here feels good, and I've read so much info that my brain is on fire, ha!!

Hope everyone's day is a nice one; my cats and I are lounging in front of some TV while chocolate runs through my head. 🤣
