Hi all,
College athlete years are long behind me, and getting older (42 next month) means finally taking my health back in hand. The gym has been on and off for the past 3 years (9 months lost to an elbow injury). PRP injections were my treatment for that elbow, backed up with BPC-157 — which is exactly what sparked my interest in this forum. Dating back to 1998, when I was a ripe 14, the tally is 6 surgeries on my right knee, both ankles reconstructed, and the right shoulder reconstructed too. Lately the good shoulder has been impinged, or maybe bursitis, I'm not sure. My Dr Appt should settle that.
A cycle of RAD140 and MK-677 wrapped up for me recently. The results please me, the blood results less so. My lipid panel looks awful, even though the rest of my bloodwork is in great shape (testosterone clearly dropped with the RAD, and PCT is underway to level that out). Obese or out of shape I am not. Cardio has been slipping, since skiing used to supply most of it and our snow year was shit, so not much of that happened. Whether I take that route again, I'm not sure. Admittedly, nothing other than creatine and a high-protein diet had ever been supplemented by me before this. If mentioning SARMs breaks a community rule I apologise, but they aren't the subject of this post — it's just context for anyone reading to understand where I'm coming from.
So here I am. Getting fully educated on peptides, so I can work out what suits me, is the goal. Interacting with people who have first-hand experience is another. And so is squeezing the most health benefit out of lifting weights and eating a good, balanced diet. From the chest and arms up I'm pretty ripped, but this belly fat has never budged (for reference, I'm 6'0, 205 right now at the end of a bulk). Recovery, that stubborn belly fat, and better sleep would be my main priorities.
Thanks for reading, and I'll see y'all in the other threads once I'm no longer the FNG.
Cheers, all.
