Hi all! My Reta journey began back in May, and I've worked my way up through the doses to 7.5mg. Down 68.7lb at this point, and I'm keen to pick up knowledge from the people in this community and swap stories as I keep going!

Thanks!

Looking back, I would have increased the dose far more gradually. May was when I began at 1.5mg, then June brought 2.5mg, July 5mg, and from August onward I've stayed at 7.5mg.

While on 5mg, I threw up on one occasion. Dizzy spells when I stand up have also been happening since September, though apart from that the side effects haven't hit me too badly.

On top of that, my weight loss has eased off across the past three weeks.

Spent 2 years on Mounjaro, maxing out at 10mg, then switched over to Reta. Honestly, I didn't notice much of a change - though it's possible the product I had wasn't great quality anyway.

Reta is the only thing I've ever used.

From what I've read, food noise tends to be stronger with Reta compared to Mounjaro, though in my case it stays fairly quiet right up until dosing day.

Yeah, mounjaro definitely suppresses food noise a lot more, I have to say. Reta comes across as more natural in the sense that you really need to build good eating habits yourself.

I'm in the UK too — around me, the buzz has always centred on Mounjaro and Wegovy. How did you first come across Reta? Honestly, it's still pretty new to me…

Back in 2022/2023 I managed to shed all the extra weight I was carrying, but come 2025 it had all come back and then some. This time around, losing it through diet and exercise alone just wasn't happening for me. I felt quite lost, and I genuinely disliked how large I'd allowed myself to become.

What first sparked my interest was my partner's Mum — she'd started on a Reta pen that a co-worker of hers was.... From there I fell down the YouTube rabbit hole, came across this forum, read a great deal, and in the end made the decision to take the plunge myself via China.

There are still three stone left for me to shift!! If I want to get back into the healthy BMI range, and things have slowed down over these past few weeks, though on the whole I'm pretty pleased with how it's all going.

I already feel like a different person!

Great to hear that, mate — those three stone will disappear before you know it!

With my BMI now at 26 instead of 34/35, I feel like I've been given a fresh start. I even ran a marathon this past Sunday! I never imagined I'd be capable of something like that.

Fair play, finishing a marathon is a huge accomplishment! 💪 Getting your health and fitness up to that point must feel amazing. I'd love to reach that kind of level once I've shifted these last few stone!

Has giving other peptides a go ever crossed your mind? Also, with Reta, have you noticed any muscle loss?

These days I feel considerably weaker, and when I'm playing footy I get barged off the ball — though I'm much quicker, so I suppose that's simply what you trade for losing weight 😀

MOTS-c is part of my most recent order, and that one is running quite late. If Reta ever leaves me properly stuck, Tesa is what I'd likely consider next.

My strength has dropped as well. Hiking and wild camping along the coast are how I use my spare time, and during my most recent 3-day outing, the weight of my pack seemed clearly greater than it normally does.
