Hey all,

After a good while of just reading here without posting, I've finally gone ahead and registered. Everyone's stories have taught me a ton, so I figured it's about time I put my own reta experience out there too.

Belgium is where I'm from, and even though no two journeys look the same, it's been fascinating to follow what others are going through — the stuff that helps, the stuff that doesn't, and the way people cope with the rough patches. I'm excited to keep picking things up and, with any luck, add something worthwhile myself.

One thing I should get out of the way: English is neither my first nor my second language, so I lean on translation apps or ChatGPT now and then to put my posts together or tidy them up. I do my best, but mistakes will slip through, so bear with me if anything comes across as a bit bot-ish.

Appreciate the welcome, and I'm glad to be here with everyone!

Hello. Welcome!

Which part, Flemish or French?

Just get a refillable insulin pen that takes 3ml cartridges if you have needle-phobia. You will not even feel it.

Hey, appreciate the welcome!

I'm in Flanders — West Flanders, to be exact 🙂

No worries there. Pain isn't what gets to me; I can take that. It's the idea of a needle going into my body that bothers me... does that make any sense?

Limburg here, specifically Paal 🤣.

Of course I get it, even if it doesn't bother me personally. My wife is on Ghk-Cu and she's got the same issue with a syringe. A pen, though, is fine for her. That's the reason I brought it up.

Cheers! See you around

Needles have always been an issue for me. Good thing my girlfriend works as a healthcare assistant and routinely administers insulin injections to people, so she's competent at it 😀

Welcome — I mess up constantly, and people in this community are really patient, so no need to worry.
