Hey everyone! I'm at the very beginning of my weight loss journey, and there's a ton I still need to learn.

There was a time when I was really driven to go to the gym and became quite dedicated to gaining muscle and seeing my body get stronger. Then I got pregnant, and dealing with how my body changed became difficult. Rather than sticking with my gym routine, I went too far with cutting calories. It took a number of years before I got back to a healthy mindset, but now I need to get healthy once more and shed the weight I put on. I'm at my heaviest ever, even heavier than I was after pregnancy. I'm glad I'm not depressed and underweight anymore (I can't stand looking at photos of myself from back then), but putting on this much weight definitely isn't something I'm thrilled about.

The toughest thing for me has been the food noise, and the fact that working out doesn't help me drop weight the way it once did, which is likely a combination of getting older and having messed up my metabolism.

Two people in my immediate family are taking ozempic, and they've had really good outcomes. My circumstances aren't the same as theirs, so I'm going this route instead. I'm starting to see that I'll likely know more about all of this than they do, since they only take it because it was prescribed to them. I'm genuinely excited to be in control of my body again.

Best of luck. I've taken tirzepatide in the past, and I've only recently begun reta. It's a total game changer how these medications simply silence that food noise.
