Hello all,
I'm a 29 year old guy in the UK, and weight has been an issue for me through nearly all of my grown-up years. The highest number I ever saw on the scale was roughly 138 kg, and by mixing changes to what I eat, working out, and plenty of figuring things out the hard way, I've brought that down to somewhere near 95 kg over the past few years. As I'm sure is true for a lot of folks, there have been good stretches, times where nothing moved, and weight creeping back on again.
Wegovy is something I began a few weeks back, and so far the results have been positive. Having my appetite dialled down has helped enormously, and it feels like the first time in ages that food isn't on my mind all day. Keeping to a calorie deficit has become far easier because of it.
My reason for signing up here is that I want to soak up whatever I can about the newer generation of GLP-1 drugs, retatrutide especially. I'm not going to jump into anything quickly, but I'd like to get a handle on the research, what people have actually gone through, what outcomes to expect, the side effects, and the way others have handled switching over when that moment arrives.
