I learned Crypto with ChatGPT help

I just made my first Crypto buy. I realize it can be a bit intimidating when you start. I set up an account on Coinbase. Something I picked up: using a debit card to fund it works better. I went with ACH and it took 7 days before it cleared. Based on what I've read, debit is much quicker. For a transaction on Coinbase, I turned to ChatGPT and it guided me through the entire process. At each step I uploaded a screenshot and it explained everything along the way. It simplified things a lot for me since crypto is pretty complex. I notice I'm using ChatGPT for many things!
It's helped me work through a number of crypto-related questions and issues!

Halfway through my very first crypto transaction, something went wrong and I couldn't work out what. So I turned to Gemini to figure out my mistake, and it turned out to be a really helpful tool. Still, you have to remember that AI remains deeply flawed, and you should always verify what it tells you.
100%. I asked ChatGPT about a careless mistake I made (buying PYUSD on Coinbase, which in NY can only be sent via ETH, and what I actually needed was PYUSD-SOL). The advice it gave was solid, but it applied to the US overall rather than NY specifically, and NY, like WA, has far stricter crypto rules. Fortunately I had enough prior knowledge to spot the issue and fix it. It accepted the correction very graciously 😊

I'm about to start working on my own -- I've got exodus and Coinbase -- the only thing tripping me up is figuring out what to purchase, since it looks like it varies by vendor.
My advice would be to hold off until you know what your chosen vendor accepts. USDC is usually a reliable option, but I ran into a vendor once where I thought "I can pay in crypto with this, this, this and this." And they responded "Yeah no. We want USDT." And I thought "F****CK! Now I have to f*ck with Tron??"😂

EDIT: I track every pep purchase I make along with the payment method used. That way, I can check my spreadsheet and think, OK, if GB/vendors A, B & C all accept USDC-SOL, then that's what I'll buy so I can order from multiple sources without extra trade/conversion fees.
That's a smart move. I've begun keeping a spreadsheet for the small stash of peps I own, but noting how I paid didn't cross my mind. Since I'm still getting the hang of the gray market and crypto, my buys have been limited to US vendors that accepted credit cards.
