Hey everyone! I'm a 46-year-old Hispanic woman who's been big for as long as I can remember. When I hit 32, I weighed 350lbs at 5 feet 5 inches. Walking was a struggle, and standing for longer than 5 minutes felt impossible. The back pain was brutal. My legs would swell and go red & purple from terrible circulation. On top of that, breathing was tough — I smoked a pack of cigarettes a day and had asthma too. Honestly, I was a hot mess. When half my face went numb, drooped, and I couldn't speak properly, I thought I was having a stroke. Long story short, it was Bell's Palsy. Bloodwork revealed I was a mess inside: anemic with hemoglobin at 8.7, borderline diabetic, and they put me on HBP medication right away.

I went home and cut carbs immediately. I was scared for my life — I wanted to live. I locked in for the next 3 years and lost over 180lbs naturally. No GLPs, no weight loss medications. Everything was a gradual change, from eating to quitting smoking (no nicotine patches). I only took a daily multivitamin, nothing extra. Daily cardio became part of my routine. I was always out walking and tracking my steps. I got down to 170lbs and stayed there for a few years, but couldn't lose any more.

Fast forward to now... I'm at 213 lbs and my hormones are out of balance. I do need help from another source to lose weight and feel healthy.

Well, I'm excited to be here, read y'all, and learn a thing or two. 🥰

Wow, that's really impressive — you clearly put a ton of effort into it!

Welcome aboard! I hope you hang around, pick up plenty, and don't hold back on asking questions 🙂
