How long do shipments usually take?

Hey all,

I worked up the nerve and put in my first tirz order on Dec 9. After waiting months, nothing ever showed up. When I got back in touch with the supplier, they told me FedEx had lost the package and that they would send it again. A new tracking number came my way a couple of weeks ago, but it still isn't showing any movement. What's the typical wait for orders to arrive in the US? Or is this just a scam haha

Orders from CN typically need 2-3 weeks. The usual practice is to hold off for 30 days once you have a tracking number before you reach out to the vendor. As far as I can tell, vendors don't monitor whether packages are seized or lost during shipping, so it falls on us to tell them when a reship is required. Also, https://m.17track.net/en/track often gives you updates faster.

How did you obtain the vendor's contact details, and who made first contact? If a dm from the vendor came to you first, that means you've been scammed. If not, you can't really know until the order never shows up or the vendor stops responding.

Thanks for letting me know. I found the details in the vendor section here on this forum, and I was the one who reached out first. Once I told them the order hadn’t arrived, they offered either a refund or a reship. Since this is my first order, I’m a little anxious.

It's understandable. My first order made me anxious as well.

Based on what you've described, a scam seems improbable. That said, even reputable and long-standing suppliers can vanish without warning, so 100% certainty isn't possible. The initial wait is tough, but it becomes normal over time.
