How High Are People Going With Reta?

This isn't a thread for people who only have a few pounds to lose and are getting amazing results staying under about 4mg of Reta. I'm genuinely glad for you, but that's what most online Reta talk looks like.

I'm asking those who have significant metabolic problems and either a lot of body weight still to lose or who have already lost it.

What mg amounts are people taking of Reta with success? Has anyone gone past 12mg? I'm halfway to my goal and losing weight has turned into a genuine fight. That's true even though I've got healthy eating, weight lifting, Pilates, cardio training, and hiking all mixed in every week. I won't accept that this is where my body wants to stop, since my actual goal isn't even super small. Right now I'm hesitant to add more medications, but I'm open to Elora once it's been in the gray market for awhile and is testing accurately.

I weighed 308 in January and this morning I was 215lbs. I've been slowly titrating upward from then to now. I've spent roughly 5 weeks at 10mgs and honestly I'm not sure whether I'll increase any further. I split my doses. I might consider adding a small dose of cag.

I titrated up to 10 mg and parked there for roughly 5 months. When progress stalled, I bumped to 12 mg for around a month to break through, then reached my goal(s) back at 10 mg. Since then I've been holding steady on 6 mg, with the occasional 8 mg.

I'm running 11mg every six days. That comes out slightly above 12mg every seven days, and it worked really well for me. After I stacked tirz on top, things really took off and I blew past my goals fast.

My wife is at 12mg and I'm on 10mg. I recently raised her to 10mg and added 2.5mg of Tirz on top. Honestly, I didn't need to increase further because I hit two weight goals. I've stayed at 6 or 8mg for quite a while.

I've done about 5 weeks at 0.5 mg, then 4 weeks at 1 mg, followed by 3 weeks at 1.5 mg, and for the last 2 weeks I've been at 2 mg. The weight is still coming off, so I haven't felt any urgency to increase the dose more quickly.

I've been on 9mg every 7 days for the past month. I'd like to stay at this dose for a while, but going up to 10mg is tempting simply because it would let me finish an R100 vial evenly...

I'll second Cagri. You could also add Sema to your Cagri stack. Both are long-established options and cost less (relative to Tirz and Reta). Wishing you the best on your weight loss journey 🍀🤞

I’m on 24mg/week of Reta, plus 5mg of Tirz and 2mg of Elora.

Honestly, this is mostly for shits and giggles — I’m within 10lb of maintenance, or at least wrapping up my cut.

Life is good.

24mg of Reta is likely the highest dose I've come across. What led you to go with that amount?

Right now I'm on 5mg, and it seems like it has FINALLY kicked in. Over the last week I dropped 2kg. I'll watch how the next couple of weeks play out and titrate up if things slow down or stall again. Having to eventually go to higher doses to keep the weight coming off doesn't bother me. So far I'm down 28kg, with 23kg left to lose.

Starting last December, I moved my dose up from 0.5mg to 4mg, though I split it into 2mg x 2/week. So far I've dropped 30lbs and I'm nearly at my GW — only 5 more lbs to go. Because I had some nausea last week, I need to titrate down to 3.5mg (split to 1.75mg x 2/wk).

I've been slowly raising my dose from 5 or 6 mg up to 8.4/w, taken as 2.4mg every 2 days. Dose increases have to be handled very carefully, otherwise the skin sensory weirdness and pain get to be too much. I'm also on 15mg of tirz and 0.75 of cagri, with the goal of holding onto a 56% weight loss.

Since August I'd been sitting at 7.5mg, then bumped it to 8mg when things stalled in October (that did the trick). These days I'm trying to keep any step-ups modest.

Should I ever reach the point of needing more than 12mg, the absence of trial data by itself probably wouldn't hold me back. What would matter is my stage in the process, whether progress was happening, and which side effects I was dealing with.

Please this is not a discussion for those with a little bit of weight to lose who stay under like 4mg of Reta with crazy success. I am very happy for you, but that is the bulk of Reta discussion online.

This question is for those with serious metabolic issues and a large portion of their body weight to lose or have already lost it.

How many mg are people successfully taking of Reta? Any experience going above 12mg? I’m halfway to the goal and weight loss has become a real struggle. Even with healthy eating, weight lifting, Pilates, cardio training, and hiking all mixed in every week. I’m not willing to accept that this is where my body wants to stop when my actual goal isn’t even super small. From what I understand, the dose is meant to control appetite. Fat loss comes down to a calorie deficit. When the scale won't move, it's usually 1 of a few things:

1) your baseline metabolic rate is lower than you'd expect — either a) you calculated it wrong, or b) it dropped because of the weight you've already lost

2) you aren't logging EVERYTHING you eat and drink accurately

3) your deficit may be too large, and your body has shifted into starvation mode

IF your appetite is already well suppressed, I'd check those areas first before raising your dose

First off, congratulations on your progress — you've lost nearly twice as much as I have, and I began months earlier than you did. Be sure to give yourself credit for that. Plateaus can happen with anything, and it may just mean you need to switch something up a little. If you're still dealing with urges, food noise, or appetite for certain things, have you considered Tirz, or given it a try already? I hope you reach your goal soon and figure out what works for you!! 🙂

I added elora to my maintenance routine not long ago, and I can confirm it's a legitimate option. I ordered it from one of the sources that support this site and sent a vial off for testing, with results that matched expectations.

Now that's what I call doing the math honestly. 😅
