How have your spending habits shifted since starting GLP-1?

I've all but stopped drinking — at most it's maybe once a week now. Before, I drank heavily. I can still put away something like a big burger, but afterward I'm completely stuffed. Honestly, eating more than twice a day is tough! Perhaps I should ease up on my dose 😂

My grocery budget basically got redirected here. Whenever Costco discounts Fairlife by $8 a case, I stock up even more. (Six cases are stashed in the back.) I believe I've worked through nearly every brand and variety of shakes, clear drinks, and similar products.

The absolute worst one? ISOPURE Kiwi Strawberry... it tastes like someone strained it through unwashed underwear. 😅 Mixing in a different electrolyte powder makes it slightly more tolerable, and that's how I'll force down the rest of the case.

Before tirz, my drinking was minimal, and it remains that way now on reta. Occasionally, though, after a particularly rough workday, I'll pour a dram of good whisky—Lagavulin 16, Glenmorangie 18, or perhaps Oban 14. I cap it at two, but usually it's just one. That's enough to soften the stress.

N/A beer doesn't work for me—it makes me want to hurl. I'd rather have water, and that's what I typically do.

Nice! Earlier this year I picked up a ZV-E1, plus a fantastic BP4025 stereo mic and a Zoom F3 audio recorder. And various accessories to go with them, naturally. I wish I could say I've been using them constantly, but I haven't gotten out with them as much as I'd hoped. Once temperatures drop and the air clears, I plan to capture some ocean wave recordings. What did you get?
At first I picked up the new insta360 X6 for vlogging and motovlogging, and after that I chose to swap my Canon R6 for the R6 mkiii. Did I need it? No, but.... anyone familiar with g.a.s. knows how that goes. Sony was almost my choice, except the A7C launched just after I'd already committed to the R6.

Beer doesn't do much for me flavor-wise these days, and the busch n/a came close enough to regular busch in my opinion

I used to eat out at a restaurant once a week. I haven't done that in a few months now. Groceries are somewhat cheaper, though half the bill is for my 2 dogs. I'm holding off on buying new clothes.

By the end of the year, I'm thinking about getting a nice watch.
...please don't even bring those up....I've got 4 Omegas, 4 Tudors, 1 Breitling, and 1 Rolex sitting in the box, all set.... 😳 😎

Food costs have gone down for me, and I'm buying less beer too. On the other hand, I need to pick up some new shirts — my XL ones now hang on me like parachutes. A medium fits me these days.

Honestly, watches are dangerously easy to get hooked on. I ended up selling nearly my whole collection and now I only wear an Apple Watch.

The strangest financial shift for me: I've always been extremely frugal, and that part hasn't really changed—EXCEPT that shelling out several hundred dollars or more on a solid group buy doesn't bother me at all. I can't quite explain why, but if you ask me to drop $300 on groceries, a car repair, or something the house needs, I'll stress over it. Yet a good Elora GB? Count me in—how much do I send you?

I've never really been a hard-liquor drinker, and shots were never my thing....but my enjoyment of beer hasn't faded at all on GLPs....perhaps a bit less, since you're already full, right?

Still, I'm genuinely happy for those who've seen their drinking cut down or stop entirely...that seems like a huge win for them...personally, though, I enjoy beer, I don't go overboard, and it's my pleasant way to close out the day........that almost comes across as defensive, doesn't it.... 😎 😎 😍
Beer was part of my routine too, but I no longer have any desire for it. I'm putting 'happy liver' on my list of health gains!

Those are some good picks!

I thought hard about a DJI Pocket 4P — came very close to pulling the trigger. It's a seriously cool camera, and the OmniVision sensor is a neat piece of tech. Sony has gone largely unchallenged in the sensor market for a long while now, so it's refreshing to see a real competitor pushing back. That LOFIC sensor inside the 4P is genuinely astonishing.

And yes, GAS never really goes away. These days I mostly keep it in check with budget-friendly Chinese autofocus lenses — there's a huge amount of interesting gear out there at very low prices. Hard to beat something like the Viltrox AF 14/4, which is only US$130 on AliE. Or the TT Artisans AF 75/2, which set me back around $150 last year. Excellent glass, and the price is hard to argue with.

Apart from the occasional evening beer and a protein shake, water is the only thing I drink...I'd really have to rack my brain to recall the last time I drank anything other than water...

Dining out has basically stopped for me, and alcohol is a rare thing now. When I do meet a friend at a bar, a single drink leaves me totally content. It's so awesome. I've put a bit more money toward clothes. But the bulk of those savings has probably gone into my peptide stockpile. Right now I'm trying to hold off on buying more since I truly don't need anything—it's just hard to resist a good deal!!

Every bit of what I save on food goes straight into peps — 100% of it. Right now I have so many on order that I've decided to put an end to that. Instead, that money will go toward saving up for a nice block wall. Materials alone should run about $5000. Next week I'll probably order a duplicate truck load of drain rock so I can get the base started. By may I ought to have enough put aside to order the block and begin biulding.

For me, it has cut out my usual 2x daily trips to the convenience store during work, where I'd pick up junk. That's a plus.

That said, I did get a Nimbot M2 along with a gold ribbon and some black labels.
