How Are You Dosing MOTS-C?

MOTS-C really splits opinions. For me, the effect hit like a rapid-onset stimulant — strong enough that I dropped my starting dose from 2mg down to 1mg, since I felt wired.

Looking through everything out there about MOTS-C, one recurring point stands out: your weekly total. Whether the schedule is daily, every other day, 5/2, or MWF, what matters more is how much you take across the week.

It seems to hit people differently. Certain folks prefer loading ahead of three morning training sessions. Others go with a smaller amount each day because of the stimulant side.

For me, I figure I'll do a run of SS-31 first, then toward the tail end of that begin working Mot's in. Likely a low dose, since I've come across reports of some allergy problems with it, and then land somewhere near 10-15mg per week. Down the road I'd also like to bring in 5-Amino-Q, Humanin, and maybe AICAR.

I'm running the same schedule — 1mg Monday through Friday. I've come across so many different ways of doing it that I couldn't figure out which one is best, assuming a best one even exists. At 68, I'm not noticing anything, though it could just be that the dose is too low.

With MOTS-c, it really looks like you have to approach yourself as though you were a study participant.

I take it on the days I ride my bike or hit mountain bike trails, which works out to 2-3 times week. A few different dosages have been tried by me, but .5 mg is what I've landed on. Anything higher dosing makes me nervous

For those of you using motsc, do you take it in the morning while fasting, and if so, how much time passes before you eat? Fasting workouts are only possible for me on Sunday. I'm aware the alternative is dosing 30 minutes ahead of a workout. Does anyone prefer the fasting route (no workout involved), or 30 minutes prior to training? Thanks.

I keep SS-31 going with no breaks, and for MOTS-c I do 1 month on, then 1 month off, dosing it EOD. There's one catch with MOTS-c: it interferes with folate. Once your cells pick up on that folate "stress," survival pathways such as AMPK get switched on, which in turn sets off mitochondrial biogenesis; that's the mechanism behind it. My suggestion would be to add 5-MTHF at 2mg per day together with a methylated B complex. TMG is part of my stack too. It only became clear to me after I looked into elevated Homocysteine on my bloodwork.
