Hi everyone! I'm a guy from Houston, 24 years old, and I've lived here my whole life. My entire life I've dealt with being overweight, and it's been hard. When I was younger, I got an ADHD diagnosis, and I also deal with binge eating disorder. I'm exploring and researching peptides and similar things as a way to help me handle that. Since I'm only beginning, my knowledge about this is pretty limited. People who ask dumb questions annoy me, so I'm hoping I won't be one of those here. Before I begin posting, I'll likely take some time to read through threads and get familiar with all the terminology. I'm excited to talk with all of you and get to know you!

Best of luck! Never worry about asking — folks round here are happy to help. Wishing you well!

That's a wise approach. A lot of folks rush in because they're eager. Take 1 month to read up and get involved in communities. Get familiar with reconstituting, dosing, testing, filtering, protocols, crypto. Make sure you've sorted out supplies. By the time you're set, you'll know who you vibe with.

I'm 38, and food cravings have been a real battle for me. No, binge eating isn't your problem. You're not facing this by yourself.

In roughly 2 months, I dropped from 246lbs down to 208lbs (that's where I'm at now), thanks to Tirz, reta, AOD and mots-c. I added CJC/IPA and igf not long ago to help prevent muscle loss (wish I'd started that way earlier 🤦).

One thing I can promise you: Tirz and reta are going to transform your life. As for how long that takes? I can't say for certain, but those cravings you're dealing with? The constant food noise? Always thinking about food or opening your fridge every 15 minutes? It'll keep fading, fading, and then it stops.

If Tirz or reta is completely new to you, my advice is to begin with a low dose; 2.5mg for Tirz and 2mg for reta.

I've read that body weight plays a role - the heavier you are, the higher the dosage needed BUT for the sake of tolerability, err on the lower end. The worst outcome would be vomiting after every meal, or feeling nauseous the whole day. 🫩

If lifting weights isn't something you do, now is THE moment to start. For fat loss and muscle gain, your body is likely the ideal test subject. On top of that, based on your genetics, exercising might reduce your odds of loose skin, gynoclomastia (saggy nipples)? And leave you looking better, feeling more productive, having more energy, and so on. The perks of working out and staying in shape go on and on.

My knowledge isn't extensive, but since I first discovered what peps were back in February, I've picked up a ton from here and from STG.

This is the ideal spot to learn, read, remember, and figure out which vendors suit you.

Got any questions, don't hesitate to ask and I'm 100% sure plenty of us will rush in to assist you!

Best of luck and stay well, my friend.

I really appreciate it! For a while now I've been telling myself I'd get into working out, but I kept finding reasons to put it off. Money was the biggest obstacle, because right now I'm a college student with no cash, though a friend told me I can use his gym pass, so I'll likely begin before long. At 5'8 and 200 lbs, with a BF% near 26%, I figure adding muscle should be one of my main goals at this point. After looking into things over the last few days, I genuinely believe Reta and Tirz could be the right path, particularly for the food noise and binge eating. There's still more I need to learn about things like crypto, since I've realized that's how a lot of transactions are done here, and I know nothing about it yet, but eventually I'll figure it out!

Glad you're here 🙂

I really get the food noise and binge eating struggle. ADHD is something I deal with too, and binge eating tends to hit people with ADHD hard since eating delivers such a strong dopamine reward and it became my default go-to. Hunger wasn't even the trigger — the dopamine from food was what I kept chasing, which is typical for ADHD folks, particularly when there's no medication in place to help control it.

When binge eating and food noise are the core problem, my personal pick would be Tirzepatide, since its appetite suppression is far more powerful than what Retatrutide offers. Tirz took me past the halfway mark in total body weight lost. That said, once I'd been on Tirz for more than a year, its effect weakened and the cravings began returning. Switching to Retatrutide didn't help much either — the appetite suppression was pretty weak for someone in my situation. These days I combine them: a bigger Tirzepatide dose on Sunday plus a smaller Reta dose on Thursday.

For someone just beginning, though, my advice is Tirzepatide on its own — skip adding Reta at this stage, because I wouldn't want your body adapting to both at once. Save Reta as a backup card to play later alongside Tirz, for when time has passed and Tirz alone may stop being enough after your body adjusts to it. Between the 2, Tirz is clearly superior when binge eating and food noise are the main concern.

On the diet side, Keto gave me the best results. Mine was a higher protein take on Keto, but the key moves were capping carbs under 20g net per day, keeping Protein high with healthy fats, and staying in a deficit. Intermittent fasting is excellent too — I eat only 2 meals inside a 6 hour window, typically lunch and dinner, with no snacks. The weight will come off.

Wishing you the best on your journey 🙂

Honestly, your situation looks pretty favorable. Yes, you carry extra weight, but for your height it isn't extreme, and since you're still yourself — meaning your body hasn't been through anything that would strip your skin's elasticity — loose skin probably won't become an issue. There simply isn't that much weight for you to shed, and your collagen levels are still high.

Given where you stand with food right now, my advice would be to begin with Tirz and nothing else. Adding Reta into the mix at this stage isn't necessary, and paying for a second peptide would just be money down the drain when Tirz on its own will do the most for you. That said, keep Reta in the back of your mind as a future option — if Tirz loses its effectiveness after you've been at the max dose for a while, or if your body grows too accustomed to it and it stops working as well.

On the crypto side, I'll be honest: it was a total mental maze for me trying to make sense of it. What helped was a post right here on this forum that walks through everything step by step, written specifically for people handling Crypto for the first time:
