Hormone panel came back low -- where do I go from here?

My starting test sat around 380, and I was 38. Low drive, tired, pretty complacent, and never really horny, though I was still down for my husband duties.

3 months in to treatment… strong like bull lol Serious now: promotions and large raises got negotiated, my communication improved a great deal because I’m more assertive and my own opinion carries value to me (when I’m knowledgeable anyway), plus energy to play with the youngin.

One word of caution: the honeymoon phase can make you feel like a teenager again, and your eyes might start wandering. Attention tends to arrive alongside the confidence and body recomp. Processing that is a whole different thing.
thanks a lot!! im hoping that!
Boiling it down, yep, test is great. Getting it dialed in to match your goals and tolerance is the real work. And yes, a wife typically knows when the test dose is on the high end ….

I'm a man of 40 who has carried extra weight for as long as I can remember. Some years back I made the decision to change that, and the trip has stretched over five or six years now -- dropping pounds, showing up at the gym, and keeping an eye on what goes in my mouth.

Just over a year back, changes started showing up in my body -- mostly around sexual function and libido; there's no actual dysfunction (getting hard has never been a problem), but my desire was fading fast , and it got noticeable enough that my wife start to worry about having another girl 😀. On top of that i allways be tired with poor sleep quality (since was kid). Fed up with stalling in the gym and on the scale, I entered the world of peptides in March, running a triple agonist to shed weight and boost my metabolism. Losing weight happened; gym progress hasn't yet. Right now I'm using CJC+Ipa and Glow while getting ready for my second triple agonist cycle in late July.

Partway through the peptide process I arranged blood tests, mostly to see where my hormones sat (testosterone, LH, FSH, and estradiol) -- and they came back low.

Total testosterone in April: 329

Free in April: 101

LH in April: 3.1

FSH in April: 3.8

Once those tests were in, kisspeptin seemed worth a try to lift the levels, and it genuinely worked, but...

Total testosterone in June: 296

Free: not released

LH in june: 8.1

FSH in june: not released

Estradiol 17beta: 13.4

That's what pushed me to book a testosterone specialist for June 23rd; what I'm after is other people's experience with testosterone problems -- more precisely (I'm looking for a TRT subq), which blood tests are the usual ones and what I should actually expect, since a doctor's visit for this kind of thing is completely new to me.

P.S. The weight came off: 115 kg down to 86.5 kg (my current weight).

Thanks everyone.
Your test levels and specially estradiol levels are low and low libido is what that explains. Mine were the same, which is why I started TRT -- though by then I had my kids already.

Fertility being something you want to maintain points to enclomophine and hcg, both of which raise your natural production. Estradiol levels get spiked by each of them, which gives libido a major boost, and there are no consequences on your axis unless it runs prolonged.

Down the line, test again and see if it helped. When the problem sits in your testies, trt might be needed

Lately I've been trying to raise my Testosterone through supplements (Boron, Tongkat Ali), Testagen and Kisspeptin. Testagen ran for 20 days and daily Kisspeptin for 8 weeks, and Test, LH, & FSH all improved nicely. Every number stayed inside the reference range the tests use. Kisspeptin and the supplements continue, and another test in 8 weeks should show how things are trending. Note, Kisspeptin was pinned the morning of the July 1 test but no other supplements or peptides were taken.

At 53, TRT by IM (intra muscle injections), even twice a week, would push my HCT too high, and donating blood was necessary -- which brought anemia and low iron with it. Daily SQ TRT is what finally solved that. No more donations needed. TRT is the way. JMO

ooh nice, dayly subq the blood problem solve!!! i thin subq 2/3 times per week will be my go to.

4 months on TRT, roughly, and it has changed my life! In the gym, performance is way up, and nearly 15 pounds of muscle have come on at 52. Building muscle used to be very difficult for me despite lifting heavy. Regimen: 4mg Reta, 160 mg Test-C, and 2 iu HGH. Nothing I would trade it for. Test sat around 380, so while not clinically low, not optimal either. Low libido, and erections were fine though, just not what they once were. These days libido is in overdrive and the sex life is the best of my life, better even than my 20s. The three-part stack of Reta, TRT and HGH deserves every bit of praise, and TRT alone the same.

A question for the group, aimed at those who've been on TRT a while. Last month's labs: total test 1257, Free test 239, Estradiol 141, DHEA 19, hematocrit 49.6. Has anybody run numbers this high for a long stretch? I feel amazing, though long term issues are on my mind. The Estradiol figure worried me a bit, yet for me there are no symptoms -- no libido, erection, nipple tenderness, mild fluid retention, though that could be HGH too. An AI is on hand and I am reluctant to take it. In my physician's view the E should come down despite there being no symptoms or issues. Perhaps lowering my Test dose a bit would bring it down? Chat GPT says I should, that running such high test for long periods could bring long term issues with it. Concern isn't something my physician shows, though it is an online TRT clinic, and said there aim was 900-1100. Thoughts from those with more experience in these matters?

Hi everyone, quick update.

Yesterday's doctor visit came back with secondary hypogonadism, basically; my testicles aren't functioning properly. Around 35 tests are now ordered, blood work and imaging scans among them.

The imaging includes the gallbladder, its condition being worth checking given my use of Reta, and to ensure my next cycle doesn't cause any damage.

I brought up that CJC/IPA was also in the mix, but the doctor wants the underlying causes of my hypertension and the secondary hypogonadism found, beyond just determining if I'm a candidate for TRT.

Monday is when all the tests happen, and TRT looks like where I'm headed.

Any cheap hand?

Mid 200's was where my levels sat, and my primary still refuses to prescribe trt, so the clinics got my business and my levels climbed to the 900-1100. For me SD and libido were never affected no matter what my test levels did, and my suspicion is that I've been running low test since my 20s.

At this point I know my dosing and bloodwork well enough, and I know where good test comes from, so im leaving the clinic behind as well.
How much time went by before your numbers reached that level? I've been doing 120 mg every week for six weeks, and I've moved from 330 to 445, which is progress obviously, but I had expected more.

Honestly the timing is a blur, though I believe the bloodwork came 8 weeks past my first pin. Keep in mind I probably shed around 10lbs over that same stretch.
