hi there,

i go by mushroomLVLup, a man in his mid 30's looking to get leaner for both health and financial reasons.

right now i weigh roughly 300 pounds(138.08 KG) and stand 5' 10"(178 cm). no way around it, i'm a chunky boi. the target i'm aiming for is around 180 pounds(81.65kg).

i plan to rely on glps as a tool to keep my eating in check, since i'm aware that your appearance comes down to what you put in your body. my aim is to quiet the food noise while establishing healthier eating patterns, or even more crucially cutting down how often i eat so the weight loss actually works. i'll stick with it for roughly a year, then gradually taper off until eating in a way that holds my goal weight becomes second nature.

at the moment i train with a 40lb(18kg) kettle bell for about 15-30 mins daily and cover around 1.5 mile (2.41 km) on alternate days. i realize that isn't much, but i'm focused on making it a routine since consistency is key. it's paying off pretty well in terms of conditioning — i can climb a flight of stairs now without losing my breath.

once i'm slimmer, i'm hoping to set off the halo effect(human bias where attractive people are seen as more trustworthy/good) to land better paying jobs. you've got to leverage whatever you can in this job market lol. that's pretty much everything about me.

I'm new around here too, and it's great to have come across this community!

Being 100% consistent matters most! Your mindset is fantastic, and I really respect how committed you are. For my part, I've been taking my dog out for a walk every night after dinner without skipping, and that steady routine truly feels like the important part.

Cheers!

hey, another newcomer here,

appreciate it! glps work kind of like training wheels when it comes to losing weight. during the time you take them, you need to develop the habits (both eating and physical activities) that allow you to remain at your goal weight once you stop

I'm eager to begin getting my life back, cheers and best of luck on your own journey as well!

My starting point was 280, so we're pretty close. In roughly 10 months I've dropped 90lbs. If I can manage it, so can you! Another 25lbs or so is what I'm aiming to shed.

That's great to hear. I'm on Tirz myself. It genuinely makes a difference. When you're consistent with what you eat and how much you move, the results will show up faster and be easier to see.

I've got a few years on you, but you're absolutely right that consistency is what matters most. Looking back at the past 20 years, I really wish I'd stuck with things more steadily. Kettlebells are something I like as well. Stick with it.

We're the same height, and my starting weight was close to yours. On average I've been dropping 2 pounds each week. These days my routine looks like this: free weights for 30 minutes every 3-4 days, plus cardio daily (roughly 10000 steps per day). Pulling for you, brother. Here's hoping we can each write a success post down the road about reaching our targets and feeling better and more at ease in our own skin! Wishing you the best of luck!
