Just joined. I'm still getting the hang of things and working out how this site works lol. The information I've come across so far has been really helpful, and I'm eager to keep learning

My guess is that newcomers such as us are required to contribute here first, building up a certain number of comments and posts, prior to being allowed to write or reply in the other forums.

After I spent some time participating, several of the forums started to unlock so I could post or reply. It wasn't something I did deliberately. There's still a restriction on my account about talking about particular subjects, though I expect that will lift at some point. My guess is that your initial post and initial replies need to go in this forum.

To be fair, handling it like this is totally logical, since I'd guess it stops folks from popping in, flooding the place with supplier questions, and then vanishing again 😂

Still, I wish there wasn't a limit on how frequently I'm allowed to post comments — something I only just noticed exists! Though I suppose there's likely a solid rationale behind that too.
 
Honestly, I totally get the reason behind this—it does stop quite a few issues from happening.
