Hi,
42 year old single mom of 2 young kiddos, whose health was on the back burner for too long and started a weight loss journey which led to this Group, which I’m happy to have found.
Here’s the history with peptides. Feel free to ask me any questions
March 2025 - 5’1” and starting weight 205lbs. Goal is 135lbs, or maybe even less. prescribed Wegovy and titrated to max dose. Lost 25lbs.
Oct 2025 - insurance stopped covering Wegovy. Paid out of pocket a few times out of fear and desperation, but it’s too expensive and had to stop. Continued looking for some way to get Wegovy or Tirzepatide covered by insurance.
March 2026 - divorced and re-considering paying out of pocket for brand name meds. Up to this point was unaware of compound meds, let alone other peptide options.
April 2026 - found out about compound tirzepatide and started titrating. Lucky to have not gained any weight since stopping Wegovy in late 2025. Lost an additional 2-3lbs. Also started regularly exercising.
Aug 2026 - Was up to 12.5mg Tirze and had injection site irritation and skin hypersensitivity.
a friend shared his experience with Reta and told me his “source”. Super excited. Went down on Tirze and introduced Reta.
Oct 2026 - after much adjusting, am at 8mg Reta and a touch of Tirze (mostly to use up the supply on hand). At a happy rate of 1-2lbs loss/week. Currently at 165lbs.
When looking into Reta I was aware of people finding cheaper sources, but I couldn’t find a lead. Maybe research isn’t my best suit, but I eventually found this Group! And I’m really excited to be a part of the community.
