Hi all, greetings from Germany!
Finding a community where I can swap knowledge and experiences with others who share this interest makes me genuinely glad.
I'm roughly 40 now, and life has thrown a number of tough situations my way over the years. My weight was one area that suffered noticeably as a result. Roughly a year ago I finally got a handle on things again and began putting real effort into my lifestyle and my health overall.
At my heaviest I was around 120 kg. After some research, and with fairly easy access to Ozempic, I gave it a try for a few weeks and saw very good results. That pushed me to look much more deeply into GLP-1 medications, and in the end that led me to retatrutide.
I've been on reta for over 20 weeks now, at doses up to 2.5 mg, and I've dropped around 30 kg altogether.
By this point losing weight isn't my only aim. What I'm after is the best long-term strategy for staying healthy as I age, for improving my fitness and lifestyle, and for keeping my body as healthy and capable as I can.
That's how I ended up in this forum, and I'm looking forward to constructive discussions, to learning from what others have been through, and to sharing my own journey too.
