Hi all,
Quick background on me: for the last 10 years I've been chasing the physique I had when I was 19 — roughly 8% body fat. Plenty of stops and starts along the way. I'll stay dialed in for a while, drift off, then climb back on. At this point I'm sitting near 28% body fat, and realistically I'd be thrilled to settle around 15% and hold it there.
Retatrutide is what pulled me in here. I kept running into talk about it, it got my attention, and I began reading up on it. I'm the type who over-researches everything (ADHD brain), so I've gone pretty far down the hole trying to understand it before I decide whether it's a risk worth taking. The results I've come across are genuinely impressive, no question, but buying and sourcing it through this "gray market" I keep hearing about gives me a lot of anxiety. That anxiety sent me down another rabbit hole, and that's how I ended up here.
I have zero personal experience with peptides or GLP-1s so far, so my main reason for being here is to learn from those who do — I'm just after honest, real-world experiences.
Ultimately, my goal is to be in the best shape of my life again. It's on my mind constantly, and the fact that I can't stay consistent over the long haul has been frustrating. The hardest part for me is pushing through the "waiting for results" stretch. I'll put in 3 months of hard work, hardly notice anything different in the mirror, and start telling myself it isn't working. Yeah, I know... that's dumb, I'm fully aware, but here I am anyway. So my logic is: if something can speed things up and carry me past that waiting phase, the noise in my head will quiet down. The lifestyle changes themselves aren't a problem for me — I genuinely enjoy living healthy. My brain just refuses to do something for nothing, if that makes sense. I'm sure anyone reading this gets what I'm saying, so I'll cut the over-explaining here.
Things are different for me these days. Newly single, less noise, and ready to lock in and take this seriously again.
Since refocusing on my health I'm down 15 pounds, and I'm ready to push it up a notch or two, or three!
Excited to learn from everyone and be part of the community.
