Hi all,

Semaglutide at a rather low dose has been treating my ME/CFS/Long Covid for a few years now, and effectively enough that I'm a very big fan of GLP1As. Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) is another thing I live with, and just about every possible treatment for it was being worked through. GLP1As came onto my radar early via the body building community, interesting to me because of a general theory that GLP1As would be good for auto-immune conditions. What complicates hEDS is how differently medication strength lands compared to the general population. Some medications (anesthetics for one) barely work, whereas others like modafinil are super strong, so GLP1As being super strong was a real worry. And super strong they indeed were. Very low doses were all I could hold for a very long time, and some of the rather nasty side effects showed up anyway. After a few years though, 1mg became my normal and the side effects stopped. A healthy weight is where I've stabilized, and I'm happy with it.

Posting much here is unlikely - lurking and learning what I can is my intent.

Regards,

Eliza (not real name)
