Over the last couple of weeks, more and more people have been reporting that purchases made from Chinese vendor websites turned out to be scams.
Apart from a few well-known exceptions, almost no Chinese vendors run ecommerce websites you can actually order from!
Ordering from a Chinese vendor is always safest through their established WhatsApp, Telegram, or email contact. For the sponsoring vendors here, the contact info posted from their official account — the one carrying the matching "Sponsor" badge — tends to be the most trustworthy route. With anybody else, double-, triple-, and quadruple-check their contact details before you reach out.
And even with the small number of vendors who do run ecommerce sites, going straight to a sales rep still beats it, because that gets you better communication, answers on testing, ordering and shipping questions, room to negotiate price, and so on. A website may leave you feeling more "comfortable", but that is exactly the comfort scammers exploit to defraud people just like you! You are not shopping on Amazon — a slick website is not automatically a point in a vendor's favour.
