What a smart way to store things! I'm honestly a little tempted to give it a go myself.plant_lady said:
For keeping my peps in a cycled freezer, I rely on Hydrapeak 32 ounce food containers. Inside each Hydrapeak sits a vial insert holder that I picked up from Amazon or Etsy. The Hydrapeaks themselves came from Marshall’s and TJ Maxx. I also add a few desiccant packets to wick moisture.
Your setup inspired me, so I went ahead and ordered a 25oz Hydrapeak food jar for myself. Delivery should be in a couple of days. The inserts have already arrived.plant_lady said:

That's great! I hope the Hydrapeak works well for you. In my view they're worth it, even though they do use up some room.Clubber said:

Could you share the model you went with? (And how small is "mini" in your case.) I'm shopping for one.BNLFL said:
I picked up a smaller mini freezer that can reach -18°F. My setup includes 13 cases: 288 vials, 2-63 vials, 60 vials, 2-50 vials, and 8-16 vial cases.
Absolutely, here it is. I'm happy with it. At the moment it's running at roughly -11, and the range it covers is around -4* to -11*. I picked up a thermometer as well so I can keep an eye on the temps.loppsy said:
