Hey everyone, I’m a mom in her 30’s and I’ve just begun using Reta to shed some weight that wouldn’t budge. I was always slim without trying, but over the last 2 years, aging and my daily habits (which I’m also putting serious effort into changing!) have caught up with me. On top of that, I’m crossing my fingers it might ease inflammation, since arthritis and fibromyalgia have been part of my life for 4 years now. I once loved staying active and lifting weights, but ongoing pain has made that impossible to maintain.

So, I’m happy to be here and pick up tips from you all! This is all new to me, and I know there will be rough patches, so having a place like this is a real plus.

Welcome aboard! You've landed in an awesome community. There are tons of excellent resources available here. For finding solid suppliers, the vendor section is an absolute treasure. Where exactly is your chronic pain located? There may be other peptides we can suggest for your research that could assist with chronic pain. The glp ought to aid with inflammation as well as your pain. One key thing: begin low and increase slowly with the Reta. Perhaps 1mg weekly for several weeks, then gradually raise it after that.

Appreciate it! My opening dose was 2mg, which taught me a rough lesson. Today I took my 2nd dose, though I scaled it back to only 1mg.

The bulk of my discomfort sits in my shoulders, neck, elbows, and hands (upper body). It began with an overuse injury in my right shoulder around 2018, but it truly flared up after an emergency surgery I had in 2021. In 2022 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and arthritis; I tried gabapentin, pregablin, cymbalta, etc. and saw almost no improvement. What's interesting is that the sole thing that actually helped was Spravato (prescribed for PTSD), yet I had to stop that treatment once I lost health insurance last year.

I've also been looking into other peptides, so I'm absolutely open to suggestions!

I'd think about using Cartalax in combination with ARA290. Additionally, do an 8 wk course of SS-31. That could be beneficial, just like the other peptides that support mitochondria.

Thanks a lot! I'll check those out. Last week a friend handed me a vial of ARA290, but when I mixed it with generic BAC it turned into gel, so I never got the chance to use it. That was a tough way to learn that lesson 🙁

My partner has type 1 diabetes and has used kratom for neuropathy for years. He's been attempting to taper down with only minimal progress. Last week I started him on KPV, and so far it appears to be helping. Would combining it with any of the options you mentioned be useful? I'm trying to build an order of kits that could work for both of us so the cost goes further

KPV is a solid and low-risk choice. If your partner is able to tolerate a GLP1, something like tirzepatide at 2.5-5 mg per week would work quite well. Vesugen is another one I'm a fan of. For people with diabetes it can be quite helpful, since it may support restoring healthy endovascular function. Better circulation reaching the nerves should allow the neuropathy to heal.

If it turns into a gel, a trick that can work is holding it in your hands or a pocket for roughly 10 mins — that warmth usually brings it back to liquid form, so it stays usable. He might need to look into this himself. Certain peptides that gel tend to behave better at lower pH levels, which is why some folks recommend mixing acetic acid into those specific peptides. AOD9604 comes to mind as a good example. The claim is that adding drops of acetic acid to the vial has given people solid results and might stop it from gelling.

This might be worth a look. Back in 2025, I went through several months of intense inflammation along with pain in my neck, shoulders, legs, and ankle that left me debilitated. Prior to that, I had been very active and carried a bit of extra weight — the usual dadbod. Testing of my blood revealed elevated inflammatory markers, specifically CRP and Eosinophils. My doctor prescribed a 3 month course of oral BPC+KPV plus TB4 Frag Max, which made a big difference. After that, he moved me to subq BPC and TB500 alongside starting Reta. The results have been fantastic so far! I feel better now than I did several years back. Following 8 months of barely any activity, I was finally able to get back into working out, and I joined this community to pick up as much knowledge as I can.

My knee arthritis is severe enough that even celebrex couldn't touch it. For the past month I've been taking reta along with glucosamine, and now the pain has disappeared. I can't fully explain how the anti-inflammatory effects manage to outweigh the joint deterioration, but whatever is happening, it's working.

It's good to know TB500 is working for you. I'll put it down among the options I want to test.

How do you feel about KLOW/GLOW?

Thanks — that's useful. I've also begun glow, and it's easing the worst of my pain. I've been reading up on how TB-500 differs from TB-4, and I'm wondering whether you've ever used TB-500 instead of TB-4? Since you mentioned working with a dr, you're probably following that plan, but I'd really like to hear personal experiences about which one works better.

I believe your reply was aimed at the person just above, though here's a beginner's perspective from me, haha--

This week I've been giving GLOW a try, and combined with reta it has brought clear improvement for my arthritis and inflammation. For me it seems to work better on the inflammation in my shoulders than in the smaller joints, such as my hands. KLOW is also on the way, since I figure that putting KPV into the mix will add more benefit. (Also, I've read that KPV may ease irritation at injection sites, and since GLOW has irritated me a bit, it seems worth trying)

Because of the shorter half life, on days when pain is high and the effect fades by midday, I'd prefer being able to separate the BPC157 and KPV doses. I guess I could stay with GLOW/KLOW and simply split that dose instead... something I might try next week, since I have a 13 hour drive coming that will surely aggravate my worst pain areas.

I do have some mild worry about cancer growth risks, not because I have or had it, but because 5+ years of unexplained chronic pain has left me with considerable health anxiety. My plan is to run shorter cycles, and while it may be overkill, I'm considering a Prenuvo scan later this year for peace of mind before I get too experimental with growth factor peptides.

Glad to help. From what I gather, TB4 doesn't absorb particularly well once it's been lyophilized and reconstituted, and that's the reason TB500 is almost always the one you come across. A well-known Dr/Podcaster I listened to said that chasing down TB4 in that form isn't worth the effort. That said, I haven't looked into either of those two myself. Cheers

If those compounds make you uneasy, bioregulators offer another route since they act through different mechanisms. A few that come to mind: ARA 290, Cartalax, Vesugen, Cortagen, and Cardiogen?
