Hey everyone!

Indeed, polar bears are practically neighbors of mine, haha. I'm up in Canada's far north. Happy to join this place. Zepbound is working really well for me right now, though I'm curious to find out about other choices too, and it's great to be among such a focused, lively group!
 
Polar bears!!! Hello...I called Sitka, AK home for a while and travelled up through Northern Canada....gorgeous country! Hello-hello.

That is fantastic! I really want to bring my wife to Alaska at some point.

My boy keeps asking me to bring him along...back in those days I was young with no ties...and I cherished every second of it. I wore the same pair of jeans so stiff they could stand up on their own in the corner when I went to sleep, plus a sweater of ragg wool. Wherever possible, I got around by ferry. One memory I hold dearest is perching at the bow, watching orcas twirl through the water ahead of the vessel...the same way dolphins carry on. Incredible! And an elderly Indian gentleman called Nelson, together with his grandson, took me out to catch salmon at a spot he referred to as the Whale's copulating grounds...and I got to watch them launch up into the sky and come slamming back down. I felt wonder and fear at once! I was 16 years old and on my very first solo trip. Life was good. These days I'm a wife and a mother living on the east coast...things move slower, but it's not finished yet!

That's pretty neat. What keeps you busy in that area? Your job, and day-to-day life too, I suppose.

I'm employed by the government. It's the boring sort of job for an ordinary person, but I like it. As for extracurricular activities, they tend to be outdoorsy: fishing, hiking, and so on. A couple years back we purchased a cabin, so that has been consuming much of our time, and the kids are crazy about it.
